Hi, I'm hoping to apply for the CRP in Fall. I know it's not a quick process, but was wondering what the general time span for each stage is. From when you send off your application to the first set of interviews etc.. Thanks
Well here's my timeline (but keep in mind I'm still on the Opportunity List, unfortunately.) I basically wrote down on a calendar whenever anything Disney happened. : Oct, 22 2012 - Sent application into Disney. Oct, 29 2012 - Disney sends email saying I passed on to next stage (phone interview). Nov, 7 2012 - Disney sends me times for phone interview via email. Nov, 15 2012 - PHONE INTERVIEW. Dec, 1 2012 - CRP applications officially close. Dec, 10 2012 - Disney sends email saying I passed on to next stage (F2F). Dec, 18 2012 - Disney sends F2F location and time. Feb, 1 2013 - F2F INTERVIEW IN MONTREAL. Mar, 6 2013 - Put on Opportunity List until September. May, 19 2013 - Still waiting. I still got hope, but it's definitely an up and down process. Sometimes things happen really fast, and sometimes the wait is difficult. Overall, my process lasted almost eight months from when I sent in my application. I may be waiting longer for an actual date so...it can take some time. Hope that helps, and good luck!
Thanks, that's a great help. I hope you get the go ahead soon!!! I assume the UK time scale would be roughly the same. At least I can prepare myself for the possible year and a half wait I have ahead
The UK scale is about the same recently. I applied in September and was accepted in mid December. I wasn't put on a waitlist but there are still people on the list waiting from that round of applications. There was also one done in January and they found out late March beginning of April time. Hope that helps!
I'm from the UK, I sent in the application August 23rd, received a reply September 28th/October 4th(it's complicated, see my blog for more info! http://catherinesdisneyadventure.weebly.com/ My first interview was October 12th, I received a reply on October 15th inviting me to final interview, to be held on October 27th. Then I had to wait till December 17th for my acceptance email and I'm not going till August13th this year! Hope that helps! Any questions just ask
Thank for your help everyone! Another question, is there more than one date for the group interviews or are they all on one day? Ta
All on one day our first interview was on a Friday and then our final interview was held on a Saturday
I applied in January, group pre screen was on the 28th Feb, the final interview was the 14th March and we found out our dates on the 5th April so it all happened pretty quickly (UK). We had one pre screen day and then the final interviews were held over 2 days.
I suppose the Canadian process is a little different from the UK. We have two F2F interview times and locations to choose from, one in western Canada and the other in eastern. I guess that makes the process a little longer than the UK's as sometimes we have to wait for both interviews to finish before they tell us if we made it.
Thanks for all your help. Just wondering, are the f2f interviews usually on a Saturday do you know, or does it vary? Thanks
i applied on Nov 2008, my phone interview was on march 2009, F2F august 2009, wait list since september 2009 until feb 2010. but people, its not about the time u will wait, its only about Disney, it worth it, believe me, i was selected for september 2010, but there was someone that said no at the last time, and my arrival date was in a hurry for feb 24, so, the dates change so fast!! just hold onto the dream, if u were selected just prepare everything!! remember u will have the option to pay for u plane or u will get a discount each month until the program ends. also theres a paid you should do, about $230 dlls, if i remember well, for some things i dont remember for what ahahahaha And also, the apt will have a bed, but not a towel, not a pillow, not toilet paper, soap, toothpaste, food at the refrigerator, so bring some money for the first 2 weeks and all the expenses. plan ur trip! and always keep dreaming! it worth every second u wait! 8) ;D
Mine was almost a year from initial application to actually leaving but it varies enormously - my application experience is here (2 years old now) http://danatdisney.com/blog/2011/07/cultural-rep/
