    Hey,

I was wondering how long the whole process takes from first sending in your CV? I just did this today to Yummy Jobs and probably won't hear back since i'm 17 although I know i'll be 18 probably before I even get interviewed (I turn in March).

Do they recruit alot of under 21's or not? I know a common worry will probably be being away from home but I lived in London alone for work for 6 weeks this year and planned on staying longer but had to come home for personal reasons (that sounds bad but basically, I was in a childcare position and my mother broke her leg so I had to come home to take care of my sister - I thought it would be unfair to go back to my employers after 6 weeks of being away so I just quit instead of taking holidays. It was fairer on the kids)

It would be a dream come true to work in WDW ;D

Wonder how many mackems/geordies work there now? There was one there last time I holidayed a few years ago.

Anywho, i've gone off on a tangent. So yeah, will I be contacted or will they really wait until i'm 18 (3 months) and if so what exactly IS the interviewing process because I can't find it anywhere. Yes I looked on this site at the tips but I was wondering what was done at what timeframe.

I don't want to go on the Summer program =S what gave you that idea?

Ok so don't I have to fill in the application form at some point? All I sent in was a brief CV. How long before I hear ANYTHING from Yummy??

I keep reading things like 'I'm going to the january interviews'.....so do they actually select months to do the interviews?? If so what are they?

ok... for the year long programme there are staggered interviews which comes in three sections... first the pre screening of your CV, then a telephone interview and then a face toface interview. at the moment yummy are screening CV's for the telephone stage of the interviews which begin in january/ febuary....

kewl if you need any other help or have any questions just ask.... and im sure someone can help you!

    GOOD LUCK!!

    Hi Lucy...
I am doing the College Post Grad thing that last six months...i applied in September and i am going on the 20th Jan.

My Best friend applied to do the year long programme (she is 18) in June and she went in October.

I dont remember if i had to fill in lots of application forms but i dont think so... and i didnt go to a face to face interview, i had my interview over the phone as i was sick :-(.....! i think it took about 4 weeks before i heard anything from Yummy Jobs after i sent off my application!

i hope that is helpful for you....anything i can help with, just ask! :)

Never mind they told me I didn't have experience ???

Which struck me as odd considering I have been a part time waitress since I was 15 and worked in a bar for 6 months this year. Not quite sure what other experience they were expecting. Especially confusing after reading about other people of a similar age. Also the email was bounced back within minutes (i'd just failed to check).

    ::)

Never mind then. Looks like another year of hard slog for minimal pay for me!!

to be honest hun if you really want to go and work for disney then carry on pursuing it! ask them what they are looking for?
i know some people on this forum have applied more than once as they were not successful the first time...... but they got there in the end!!
