Hey ppl, just askin how do they select what appartments will we be in. n can they be mixed? can u get in with ur m8s frm home?
As far as I know, they aren't mixed and its a random selection type thing, to mix up the different cultures and the chances are you wont be with mates from home.
Totally depends really. The apartments are ALWAYS guys only or girls only, but you could be the only guy apartment in the whole block it completly depends. On my floor there were 2 girl apartments and 2 guy apartments. It is possible to be put with your friends, but again it depends on the day where you get put. When i checked in i was put in an apartment where everyone had arrived that day, and all the guys from my flight were put in the same apartment. Whereas, alot of other people i know were put into apartments where they just had a spare bed and everyone else in the apartment had been there for a few weeks/months already. Remeber you could me split up over different apartment complexes. I personally knew UK ICPs who lived at Vista Way and the Treehouses, and at work i met people who lived at Chatham Square. You'll know if your going to the Treehouses once ou meet the Disney Rep at the airport. My friend was put in Vista and her boyfriend in the Trees, and they only found out they were being seperated when they arrived in orlando which meant it wasn't the best start to the summer for them. You just gotta be prepared for that.
Hey! So was just wondering.. did that girl and her boyfriend not get to see each other then they were split up?? Is the accommodation far away from one another?
The complexes aren't really far away from each other. The Commons and Vista are closer together. The treehouses is over by Disney's Key West Resort, if i'm not mistaken. There are buses that go to each complex so its not hard to see each other, but depending on your work schedule, times of buses and stuff, can affect how long you would see each other in their own complex. Unless you live in that complex, you're supposed to leave by 1am (unless things have changed since i've been there). Also you can get buses to like Crossroads and go to TGI's and stuff. You're not stuck to only seeing each other at your apartments. Though if you work together then you get to see each other almost every day anyway.
Well the Chatham and Vista are only 5 minutes on the bus away, but it was quite hard to get to the treehouses from vista because there wasn't a bus that directly linked them, although i think thee is one now. They saw each other quite often but obviously when they wanted to stay in each others apartments they had to get round security as they are officially visiters are meant to be out by 1am. In the end the boyfriend was terminated, on his LAST shift!
