i thought this would be an interesting question i know they split the under 21's up from the 21's and overs but how do they decide who to put you with ??? :D or is it a dumb question to ask? :D

i don't think they really think about that themselves, they just put you in an apt that has an empty bed...i guess they try not to put people from the same country together...but that's about it...

unless everyone in that apt left and housing didn't put anyone new in there, no...there's always people coming and going throughout the year and usually not at the same time

how co-ed is the housing? Is it like a whole apt of the same sex or just your room mate being the same sex?

the whole apt. is one sex...
in the bigger apt. it might be that there's 2 or three people coming at the same time or being from same country...

People at Vista generally did seem to be put with same arrivals. All the 2005 ICPs who arrived when I did were placed with people arriving on the same day.

I think they want to do a melting pot of all nationalitie to not having apt with just only french, german, norwegian, chinese etc.

    it's a good idea!

There's four of us :D really nice size actually. Not too many people to have to get on with.

i know! i lived in a four people apt., too and i think it was the best that could have happened...especially because apart from one girl all the other girls throughout the year were such sweethearts and if people don't come and go that often you actually got time to get to know them...i think 2 people apt. are just too small and if you don't get on, well, what can i say...and 6 or 8 would just be too much for me...my friend loved it, but i'm happy i didn't have to share with that many...

about living with different nationalities...i just loved it! awesome experience! during that one year i lived with girls from south africa, uk, italy, canada, mexico and japan...and you really learn so much!

always during all interviews they ask you about sharing rooms with different nationalities, and to be like alot of you have said it is a learning experience, and most of all the mroe people the better as the more you learn :D and i think for example its very good what they do so for example if you had 3 of one nation and one person of a difefrent nation it would be difficult for that person, in my experiences of staying in France and Med Countries you do learn alot about cultures and you respect them even more :D

that might happen...some nationalities (like us germans) tend to stick together...and then it's hard for someone from another country...i always hated that...i didn't spend much time with germans, i wanted to meet different people...germans i can meet at home! :D

thats why i think it is a good idea to do that then you wont get people feeling lonley and you wont have people grouping up an leaving others behind :)
