    Hi,

How competitive is the international college program for the summer? Do many people get rejected? Do you need lots of work experience to stand a chance?

    Thanks for any guidance.

it isn't very competitiave to be honest. I dont know of anyone, and i dont know of anyone who knows anyone who has been rejected!

I think the only way you could make harder for yourself is if on the role checklist, you only put down 1 or 2 things. I think most of the time you tend to get your 1st or at least 2nd choice but on the chance that they have enough people for those roles already, it's well worth having another few there. And always put quick service f&b - apparently they need looaooadds! (which, thinking about how many food points there are and how excruciatinlgly busy it can get, loads is probably an understatement!)

    Good luck!

you know JCB everyone says that they break the trend on the ICP but i have yet to see someone not get an offer...

  7. I have unfortunately seen someone who didn't get through. He didn't get through to last years ICP and reapplied this year and I think he got it as well. i think Jason said there are about 500 available positions and last year they had problems with staffing when over there which could be why there are now 3 options instead of just 2.

Does anyone know if the Cultural Representitive program is competitive?

It all depends on where you are from! I've heard that in some countries they have to be on a waiting list for a looong time. But from my country, Norway, it's not. Here, you as good as got the job if you apply! I don't think it's to hard in the UK or Canada either if I got it right...

i think its quite competitive, there are not as many roles, or cast size in the UK pavilion. but, unlike the summer program people come and go more often

I figured it would be more competitive, especially here in Canada. . .sigh. lol It makes sense , theres definatly less positions available,

The CP in Canada right now is probbly not competitive at all. They stopped hireing for the CP cause there was not enough people. My guess anyone going for that in Canada this year has a REALLY good chance of makeing it. Not sure how the CRP one is. I am kind of nervous as that is what I am going for here. My guess is it is much more competitive here. But you never know. Just do your best at whatever your applying for and good luck.

just to let you know, my friends only applied about a month before she went - and they were still hirering - not so many roles to pick from but she still got in.

I was hoping because I was from Canada that I would have more of a chance of getting the job. Even more so because I am from Newfoundland.

I was hoping I'd have an edge being a northerner, it seemed quite a few ppl at my interview were from southern ontario. Lol hey you got to work every angle right.
