Hey everyone! I was wondering about having your friends and family come visit you. I know that you cannot have guests in The Commmons after 1 am and I heard about discounts at Disney hotels. What are these discounts like and are they easy to come by. I am hoping to have lots of friends come visit me and I am wondering how easily this is done.
The discounts right now are 40/50% depending on where you go. You also get discounts on other non Disney hotels in the area.

The Cruise Line discounts depend on the season, and who is staying the room and how many people there will be. When you can get onto the Cast Portal, there is a section that will tell you all about the discounts you can get.
So you dont get any discounts til after 3 months?? or just on the hotels? I heard you get a Disney ID that you just need to show.
no.. you get ur disney ID obviously when you begin.. but discounts dont kick in until 3 months into your stay.. you get (i think) 20 tickets for family and friends as long as there with you and then discounts on hotels etc etc etc i went out the other week and my girlfriend got us into the ALL STAR MOVIES hotel for the week and that was half price i think... was a decent hotel for what we needed it for.. spent most of the time being shown off and being shown the rides etc (i was a virgin to disneyworld ya see til then) goin out agen in 3 weeks time (WHOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO) and were staying in the Caribean beach resort there in disney and that agen has a discount.. cant wait... so yea, there very useful, especially for visitors...
DisneyCandice, You get your Disney ID, which gets you into the parks, 20% Merch. discounts and 20% F&B discount (at some places at some times) immediately. You can book hotel rooms immediately. You just (from what the people told my friend when she tried to book for us) can't book DCL until after three months. I think, from what I can see, it's related to the fact that ordinarily people got Main Gate Passes (passes for you and guests) after 3 months - but for the HCOE, they're being given out earlier. A
Sorry I am confused about the abbreviations. haha what is DCL and HCOE?? And do the 20 passes mean 1 day passes? or extended passes for a visit. Like if your family of 4 came to disney for 5 days would that use up all your free passes??
Hi guys, How about the discount for International College Program people? (Just to make it clear of what program i am on - i am in university in England and will be between years during the summer, i will be working in Disney as a lifeguard from June 4th till September 4th) My sister would like to come and visit me with her boyfriend while i am working over there, so would it be possible to get them some dicscount on hotels and park tickets for the duration of their stay? I wont be staying with them in the hotel or going to the park with them often (because i will be working) So are they still eligible for my discount? You can get a hotel discount just for them. However, the discount will be less than it would be if you were going to stay in the room with them. You book these through the Cast Portal. You can also buy discount tickets for them, from Company D (a CM-only store).
