So, the differences here between the two is the amount of people you live with. What do you guys think about this? Anyone? Can you offer some advice to if it's better/worst/whatever to live with more or less people?

What are the advantages for both?
What do you plan on doing?
How should I make up my mind?

The advantage is that it's very social to be more people in the apartment. The disadvantage is that there's more of a chance that there's someone there you won't come along with. There's less space for you in the fridge. Most of the time I think people get along good though. Most often problems arise because of cultural differences.

I just didn't have much luck in the apartment I stayed in. But remember, you're allowed to switch to smaller or bigger apartments when you're there. There might be a waiting list though.

I don't remember if we had a choice before we leave? Because if we do, I'll go for a 2 or 4 people apartment.

Ya I heard they just fit you in where there is room at the time. Sometimes if there is no room in the complex you could be put in another complex till they get room for you. As far as I know I believe we would be in the commons. No idea what will be with the new complex coming. Guess we will have to wait and see exactly where we end up.

You can find everything on youtube. They are really quite nice. And no you dont get a choice of where you live or who you live with. If there isn't room in the Commons you will be placed in Vista Way or Chatham Square until there is room. But HOpe for The Commons so you dont have to move any more often then you have to. But I live with 5 other guys and its good. But I also know people that have 7 roommates and Those that are lucky enough to have a one bedroom hang onto it for dear life. I wouldn't mind having less. But to be quite honest in your first couple of weeks here you wont see your roommates anyway. With training and with going to the parks and work and then socializing you dont spend a lot of time at home. But Its so much fun its unbelievable.

You get to request on your forms and if they can accomodate you, they will.
They have to take your consideration into account because if you're working the lowest paying role, then you definetly can't afford, the new one, for example.
Plus, I have issues about living with 7 people. That's more people to fight with, to steal my food, etc.
Plus, I'm under 21, and so everyone else would be too, and if they got caught with something, it's my butt on the line.

What does happen if you are in a wellness apt and there is alcohol found in there?

Not that I intend to drink but I dont wanna get lumbered with a thing on my file for someone else's mistake.

I did the ICP and lived at Vista, so I dunno what the deal is with the Commons, but I had a choice of a 6 bed and a 4 bed and I went for the 4 bed...

Best decision of my life! The apartment was huge for the 4 of us (Again, Commons 4 beds might not be) with high ceilings in the living area and an en-suite bathroom in both rooms. The extra cost was totally worth it!

David Rothera: I think your kicked out of the program? Not totally sure. I am sure it would depend on every little situation but it wont be good. They could terminate everyone in that apartment. That is what I got out of the presentation. I have never been there and don't totally have to worry about that being older. But I know even if someone 21 shows up with alcohol you could all be in trouble. So best to not let it in. Again not totally sure. Maybe someone who has lived in the wellness homes could explain better for us. I am kind of wondering too, just in wondering and to make sure if I have friends in the Wellness homes that I don't jeopardize their employment and mine.

It depends I think. If the owner confesses that it's his/hers that person gets termed. If nobody says anything everybody in the apartment get termed. And if they find out that you know about it being there, even if it's not yours you'll be in big trouble.

If you really are determined to do it, a secure "safe box" for your "valuables" might not be a bad way to go. To be honest it might be a good way to go with the ole laptop/ipod/cellphone etc anyway..
