Hotel discounts

I`ve read here that we get hotel discount for our family and friends, and that it`s about 30-50%, or that it`s 40% if you don`t stay at the room yourself and 50% if you do.

But this discount, does it only apply on certain hotelrooms? If my family comes to visit me they want to stay at one of the cabins at Disney`s fort wilderness resort, or at a 8 person max hotelroom. Would I be able to get them a discount if they stay at these places?

 

As far as i am aware u can use it at any of the resorts.

 

When you start your training with Disney, you will have to wait three months (90 day probation) to start receiving cast member discounts on hotels.

When you want to book a hotel room for friends and family, you do it on-line through the cast portal, an interactive website for Disney cast members. Discounts and room availability depend on volume of guests staying at the resorts.

You can sometimes pick and choose where you want to stay with desired dates. However, what usually tends to happen is that the website gives you the options available for your requested dates, and sometimes the hotel you would like is not available and you have to go with the a second or third choice. You have to come sign your guest in with a cast ID if you are staying the room. I think you have to sign-in friends as well but I always stayed in the rooms so I don't know for certain.

Discounts when staying in the room are between 30-50%. Other rooms for friends that you are not staying with are 25% off.

In some hotels, you can have up to eight people in the room. Others are four. I would not recommend trying to squeeze more people into a room than allowed by the hotel. If the hotel finds out you are keeping extra people in the room and not paying a higher rate, you would most likely be terminated.

I have a question

Is the discount strictly for WDW Resort hotels or can it be used at other Disney resorts i.e Vero Beach (just down the Florida coast)?

 

There are other hotels you can get discount on as well. I got discount on a Disney resort hotel in California.
