What kind of special things go on for different holidays in the world showcase? For example, does anything special happen in the Canada Pavillion on Canada Day?
Yeah they each got a Mickey shaped Canada flag to trade with guests, and were handing out Canada maps with Toronto labeled as capital, Halifax spelled Halilifax, and PEI wasn't labeled. They were also giving out candy (which wasn't Canadian only candy), bracelets (which again didn't look Canadian) and stickers than had nothing to do with Canada. Oh and yelling Happy Canada Day to random guests.
Yeah I was pretty underwealmed... oh well I get to have that fun this year... and I'll be buying the special Canada Day pin again here's what this year's looked like
Oh my, that's atrocious! Poor PEI, bless it's tiny soul. They should of hucked Smarties and Coffee Crisps at people - I hear those aren't sold in America I wonder if the pavillion celebrates St. Jean Baptiste? That's gotta be my absolute favourite Canadian holiday, except for the fact it's purely Quebecois. So, partially Canadian? Hahaha
You can buy Smarties and Coffee Crips (along with Caramilk and a few other bars) in the Canada pavilion. You also can't get Wine Gums in the states! 3 of my former roomates celebrated St. Jean Baptiste but thats about it
Haha, nowall we need is a Timmy's and we'll be set. Last time I was in Disney I started drinking Coke in the morning cause I couldn't stand the taste of their crappy coffee. I'll be bringing a 1kg tub of Timmy's coffee with me! lol
CARAMILK! No way! That's just one of those things I thought was Universal, like Coke or air or Madonna . Shows what I know! I'm definately celebrating St. Jean! Bonne St. Jean, wahoo!
keep if mind (if I remember prices correctly) those bars are like 2.25 or 2.50 each since they're imported, and well it's Disney.
I should start my own underground run or something. Make a cool million from candy deprived Canadians. Possibly Brits, too, because I think most of that candy is a British thing anyway (smarties? Coffee crisps?). Haha, or not, because that'd take work and I'm not too keen on starting my own candy mafia.
actually the american cadburys chocolate tastes different to the uk one because they put something in it to stop it form melting so easily that being said im going to have a suitcase for clothes and a suitcase for cadburys when i go out lol
im gonna have to bring a case of galaxy caramels with me, i missed them so much last time, someone brought me one over two weeks b4 i came home, but some **** stole it! i'll never forgive who ever took it!!
Yeah if anyone (and I mean anyone from parents, aunts second cousins, random neighbours) visits make sure that you get them to bring as much chocolate/chrisps/other things as possible and then donate them to friends! Its a really nice gester especially for people who didn't get visits from home. Also meant people reciprocated!
gismo theres a flaw in that theory - it would mean giving up chocolate which is frankyl against my religion! lol ;D
