hey im new to this just came across the sight, anyways could someone tell me if i fly 2 sandford is it much of a disadvantage than flying to orlando international, how do i get to the commons and if i do fly to sandford how much would it cost in a taxi to get to the commons appriciate it if you could answer this many thanks chris
hey, welcome. you seem some what panicy, when are you travelling. If its the flight price thats tempting you to sanford, hold the phone, if you are under 26 go to sta travel, they are a student site but offer youth fares for the under 26, you need to buy a youth card, but its only £7, and could have you hundreds!! ive recently booked one for the 6th Feb, and only paid just over £200 on a virgin one way flight. know this doesnt reallt answer your Q, but maybe it can be abit of help. rose
my guess is about 100 dollars maybe for the taxi. which may still work out cheaper depending on the flight (i'm thinking if you go by glasgow to sanford it can maybe work out cheaper in the end...) but think on two things. One, you get the flight refunded at the end of the year to pay for a trip home. might be useful to have more money on that end as last minute flights home could be more expensive and two) there is reasurrance in getting met at MCO by the disney people and maybe being in a group from the beginning. If I were you, I'd look at MCO arrivals first then try sanford.
no they will only refund you for the flight. The will supply transport from international, and you would be collected with other people on ur program. I think a taxi is about $80. what program are u on and what date do u travel?
i'm not sure. yummy said to me to keep all receipts for transport, but it seemed they meant just in the UK though. trains, buses etc to the airport. I'm not so sure about the other side, but you have to have receipts, I know that.
im flying into sanford - i got a cheap flight from glasgow with globespan. ive had a look and the taxi between sanford and the commons should be around $100 (£60) which i dont think is that bad, considering its about an hours journey.... i dont really have a problem in making my own way from the airport to the commons. The only benefit of flying into MCO is that you will be able to meet the othet people on the program at the airport (or on the plane if you share a flight with any of them!) and that you get free transport to the commons..... i guess it would be easier to go to MCO but i found that booking it myself meant that i know where im going and what im doing flight wise (eg. i know that i dont have a change over any where) which you have no control over if you let disney book you into MCO. Hope thats of some help!!!!
Hi! I came across something on the internet. If you take a cab it will be around $100, if you find people there that are travelling to the same area ( Disney / Lake Buena Vista ) you can take a shuttle and if you have 5 people it would only be $21 a person. Just thought I'd share. I just went on a long trip where I had to take many cab/shuttle rides and I really preferred the shuttle whenever possible, because they have a one way fare and it doesn't matter if you are stuck in traffic or whatever happens, it will just be the amount that they told you. I needed an hour to get somewhere with a cab in L.A. and it cost me $80, with the shuttle I would've paid $15.
