Hey everyone,I just graduated high school.I turn 18 in october.I would like to take a year off and work at WDW,should I apply now if I dont turn 18 till october? And if I apply when will they contact me?Thanks, any help would be appreciated.
well , my advice is apply anyway , the worst that could happend is that they tell you that you have to wait like 6 months , but i truly think that youll be fine anyways good luck joelle
I remember speaking to some people at my interview, and they were being interviewed when they were 17. So I'm not sure if you have to be 18 for the interview, but you do when the program starts. But apply now - the process can take a long time. I landed in orlando 18 months after I initially applied, and a year after the interview! Good Luck Dan
You have to be 18 to apply for the visa I believe. Where in Canada are you from? The next interviews will most likely be West Coast in late October, so you'll probably be 18 by then if you are a West Coaster. East Coast interviews are usually in March-ish. I agree that the worst they can do is tell you to apply later! If you have anymore questions, I'm from Toronto and have already done my year...so let me know! Shan
That will also probably work in your favour!!! There was nobody from PEI while I was there. They like to spread out where everybody is from if they can. When I started, myself and a girl that arrived with me were the only two from Toronto. There were 4 of us when I left...that's all. You'll have to go to Halifax for the interviews...most likely in Feb/March. Shan
I was at the interviews in March (I went to Toronto). Being from Winnipeg, I thought i'd have to wait until October for the west coast interviews, but was asked to be at the interviews in March. A couple other Winnipeg girls and someone from Calgary was there too! Apply now! Who knows, Eric might just ask you to come to the west coast.
They wouldn't ask you to come to the other coast interviews. BUT...if you wanted to you could just ask nicely, which I'm sure is what most of those out of placers did...I did and went to Vancouver. Shan
Yes, indeed it is a long process. I decided last July (whew already a yr ago) that I wanted to reapply. I decided that I couldn't wait for the Toronto interviews in March (I'm from Toronto), so I asked if it was alright for me to fly out to the Calgary interviews. Eric said "no problem". So, here I am. I arrived almost a month ago and all the people from the eastern interviews don't arrive until at least September. Go ahead and apply and get the process started. If you want to go out west in the fall, just ask. Good Luck!
