I am kinda new here and from the UK I really want to do the CRP - I applied over 2 years ago, just as I was leaving school and got rejected straight away I was devasted and have been working for a company ever since.. So I was just wondering if anyone had any tips on what to include on my CV / covering letter? Also, when is the best time to apply / when is the next lot of dates when people go? Many Thanks xo
Hey there, Well you just missed the application process for positions from Sep-Dec 09, however if you go to www.yummyjobs.com there should be details of when you can apply for the positions starting from 2010 onwards. From rumours and gossip that ive heard, it appears they may be letting people apply over summer time! Anyways best of luck!! J
Hi! I'm Lucy from Mexico, I applied for the CRP as well and got rejected last time... since then I've redone my CV and cover letter and last week I landed my dream job for the summer! Character Performer for the J1 Summer Program 8) Anyways... the changes I made to my CV and cover letter were very important... basically what u have to do is "sell urself" as a very Disney person... for example, on the previous jobs section (pet shop and assistant teacher) I enphasized GREATLY all the customer service bits... I had a chance to talk to the recruiters and they say that a very VERY positive disposition is a must... have this in mind for when u have ur phone interview. This means being a very peppy and happy person... apparently they can tell if ur smiling on the phone. Also, and this is really important and I dont think I've ever seen it mentioned in this page... Disney really looks for very independent ppl that are good problem solvers... like for a difficult guest situation, they want to know YOU'll take care of it appropriately without running to the manager... Hmmm... other tips I can give u is too make sure to mention u have no problem and are excited about the international community... and that u r a good team player i hope this helps! if i think up anything else i'll let u know

LOL hopefully... i actually just sent my papers in a couple days ago and th eprocess is moving FAST! my phone interview is next week! but start dates are next year :-\ so.. its still gonna be a while! good thing I get to go this summer! I always dreamed of being a character performer! I still can't believe my luck!

Yeah, ive applied.. The interviews are March 31st this month..But they've forgot to email me with an interview invite..I think its coz they always get my email wrong for some reason! Ive emailed them tho, but the girl who does it is away until monday.. What dates your summer program? Is it 3 months you go for?
Maybe she just doesn't like me then! I emailed her about 5 days ago.. And I just emailed her again, but I still didn't get a reply!!
When did you phone them? I tried phoning yesterday and today.. But they haven't been in the past 2 days apparently!
Ive just emailed both Hannah and Ilse now.. Its frustrating, coz I want to get my train and hotel sorted if I have got an interview!

EDIT.. Like I said on the other tab, I just have to wait and see, as they had me down for the October program..But I actually said either.. So there was abit of confusion.. Ill just have to wait and see though...
