Hello!

I'm the mother of Louisa (DisneyGibbs) and thought it would be a good idea to get chatting to all the other parents out there about our little darlings going off to Disney all on their own!

So um... lets start talking!

Hi mom! (sorry I was feeling left out)

Even though I think that having my mother along with my trek to independence seems like a couterproductive idea, I guess I shall tell her to join as well.

 

Well here I am! Snow White 87's Mom, I have been reading the posts on this website forever, I think it is a great idea to talk with the other parents out there. Our 'kids' are embarking on a great life adventure and we all have lots of questions. I am lucky because Snow White 87 has gotten to know someone who has just come back from the program 'Linda' and she has been able to answer tons of questions and put me at ease.

Hello Heather! I hope you know what you are having to put up with on that long flight!!!!! A couple of words of warning - Gemma talks alot, and when I say a lot, I mean a lot. She bounces alot and anything sad or sometimes not sad she cries alot!!!!!!!!!!! Just be careful which films she watches on the flight over!!!!

Hi to all the mums and participants on here and to all those who are joining the programme soon. I am KevinB's mum. I'm sure most of you will know him. (Merch). Kev has been out there since March of last year. Boy do we miss him!!! We were fortunate enough to visit him in November. Met quite a few of the other lads and lasses from the UK. All I can say is to the newbies mums.... those of you who have your sons/daughters going out or who are already there.... They are safe, apartments are nice, and they all seem to be having a wail of a time. Constant smiles on faces 
I have also been reading these boards for months now and think its a fabulous site. But....going to have to have a word with my son as he doesn't post as much as I would like him too lol. Says... "But mum I have been busy" mmmmmm :
So all those that know him give him a nudge and tell him to GET POSTING!!! (I'm sure he will now even if to check on what I am saying and to make sure I am not embarassing him) AS IF!!! lol

Hi Mums and Dads. I'm PrincessTessa's mum. (I suppose my name should be Queenmum!) We're in the excited flurry of preparing for Tessa's March departure. I too am reassured to hear that this is a safe place for our kids to try their wings. Now I have to save and plan for a couple of trips to Florida this year!

Tessa and her best friend Jei (Snow White) went to the same interview in December --and we all had a big scream and jump-up-and-down session in our kitchen when *the call* came through telling Tessa she was in. It's fun to know others who are going --or who have been. We met David at the travel agent's a couple of days ago, so they could buy their plane tickets --that made it all seem real! It's great Jei and Tessa know Linda and can ask questions in person. I'm so excited about this opportunity --but I know I'm going to miss her SO much!

Hi Jackie, thanks for putting our minds at rest. It's good to know that they will be fine whilst they are there.

We are there on holiday from next Sunday so we will tell Kev to get on here and post some posts in the short time he has left!!!!
