    Hey Everyone!

My name is Shayna and I'm from Guelph Ontario Canada! I just had my phone interview a couple days ago with Nicola and will be going to Toronto for my face to face interview on March 6.

This is my first time posting on these forums... well actually on any forums really lol But I felt like I wanted to get involved with everyone else who's applied to work at Walt Disney World and meet all you guys and whatnot.

I'm sooooo nervous for this interview. Although I hear it's more like a "conversation" than an interview... i'm still nervous. I was so shocked to get a phone interview. When I called Nicola back I didn't even realize it was an interview... I just thought I was calling back to set up a time to do the face to face interview. Now i'm reading everyone's posts about phone interviews and i'm thinking oh my god I didn't even realize that was a phone interview. I feel quite silly now lol.

I was wondering if anyone had any tips for the face to face interviews? I know this is a huge deal for all of us and it would be awesome if we could all share advice on what's ahead still. Has anyone had their face to face interview yet? And if so what was it like? Was it casual and friendly or scary and intimidating? lol I'm just so curious to know what i'm up against!!!

Take care, good luck on the interviews! And I look forward to chatting to you all on here! Bye for now!

Hey congrats first of all, and welcome.

Secondly I don't have any advice 'cause I have my f2f in Montreal on March 3 so I can't tell you anything about it yet.

Thirdly I just wanted to say you may want to double check your date for Toronto. They may have added a second day or changed it since I got the information, but I was told that Toronto's interviews were going to be on March 5th. I'd hate for you to miss it by a day ya know?

    Hey!

I had a face to face interview a couple of years ago, don't be nervous at all. I was SO nervous to the point I thought I was going to faint. But it really is just a conversation with the really nice disney representatives. I also have an interview in Toronto on March 6. I am actually coming back from disneyworld the night before. I am really excited for the interviews and really don't be too nervous, just remember big smiles and be yourself. Just have fun with it. Hopefully we will all get in!!!

    Here's hoping!

    Cheers,

    Emily

Awww thanks for saying hi you guys! This is all so exciting. I can't even imagine actually getting a job at Walt Disney World! Hey question though, what kinds of jobs do you think they offer to us? I mean I know you need certain qualifications and stuff, but do you guys have any ideas on what they usually offer? I mean honestly I could care less what I do as long as I get to work there but  I guess i'm just curious  :D Anyway, Take care everyone and good luck!!

They didn't tell you in your phone interview?

Food and Beverage as well as Merchendise will start on a cart/kiosk. Then after a few months (I think 6 was the number I heard) you have an opportunity to get moved into either a restaurent or bigger store.

Attractions have the 360 degree movie as well as kids crafts.

I think that was all that she told me about (I didn't ask so I assumed Nicola was telling everyone on the phone about the options).

    Hi Guys!
    I'm Medardo from Cancun Mexico.
Don't be nervious at all about your face to face interview, that will be a great time for all of u, just remember always smile and let them know that you're so proud of your country, your traditions, your culture.
I had my F2F interview on october, here in cancun, and that was really nice, first the recruitment team introduced theirselves to all of us, and they showed us a presentation about the job and living in florida, and things like that, i think i will never forget that moment. Obviously i was nervious, but you know, the guys of the recruitment team are really really nice, and they make you feel confortable, so just relax and be yourself.
Now I got the job, I'll be in F&B at the mexico pavillion, and i'm leaving on feb 21st, so it's just 14 more days, i can't wait.

hope to see u in orlando.

    Medardo

    Hey Everyone---
I am from Northern Ontario about 4 hours north of Toronto. I had my phone interview a few weeks ago.
Glad to hear people are getting their dates for their face-2-face interviews. Is everyone applying for the year long program? I have my interview on March 5th in Toronto - I am applying for the year long program myself.

Hey Shayna, and the rest :)

I'm going to the Halifax interview on March 1st. I'm super excited -- I think the most important thing to remember is to SMILE and have lots of fun, but also be professional! I'm really nervous, but only because I really want this! I know I'd do a good job...

Hope to see you all at Disney!!

ETA: Does anyone know if you get a choice on when to go? I'd rather go in September than in December.

    Hey Shayna, and everyone else,

I had my F2F back in November and aced it. Don't be nervous, I was freakishly nervous and really really stressed on the days approaching my interview.
Be yourself, smile and hand fun! I wish you the best of luck!

I really wish I was able to go for those interviews, just to watch. :-[
