Right, so have my interview for the 6 month graduate program job thingon sat 26th may - anyone else? scared! Also, does anyone know how many people get through to do this program? whats my competition?! AND does anyone else have crazy hair and should i change it. dont want to but disney's pretty straight laced innit. and is anyone else finding it really hard to get any information on anything? soph x
i think for your interview hair wont matter that much, i went with mine dyed red and i got the job, but when you actually work there you will have to change it to something natural. although i guess if you do go to the interview with more normal hair it will make a better impression. sup to you!
Kristen said this program was the best chance to get on out of all the programs, as you have to be a graduate to do it. So I wouldn't worry. None of the July people on the board got told no. We're all in. I'd definately change your hair, but that's just what I would do in the same situation.
About your hair, the girl who was in my cult rep interview with me had lowlights in her hair and Kim asked her if she'd be willing to dye her hair to a natural colour (of course she said yes ) and she ended up getting it. As long as you're willing to change it for arrival you should be ok. Plus they take people for the grad program based on a phone interview when they have no idea what they look like (Dylan, I'm looking at you!! ;D) so they're obviously not bothered about initial appearance.
This is true! It happened to me at my interview, I had blonde highlights and Kim asked me if I'd be willing to dye my hair to my natural Brown colour and I said yes I was accepted!
i thought highlights were okay though as it's still natural looking? I've got highlights atm and I'm planning on getting my hair done again anyway. Now I'm wondering if I should get it dyed back again to 'normal'... I was just going to let the highlights make their own way out tho.. hrm.
Hmm im naturally blonde and i get my hair dyed dark brown and they never said anything to me. How strange.
I think so long as you can't tell it's not natural it's alright. It's just like 'unnatural' hair colours or highlights that are obviously not natural (like blonde streaks in brown maybe?) that they don't seem too keen on. A bit 'wild' for Disney
i have a slight problem. i have a brithmark on my head which is obviously concealed by my hair however my hair on that spot grows blonde and the rest of my hair is dark. do you thin that would be a problem in the uk its not noticeable but when i go to warmer countries in the su it turns realy light like sometimes almost white. since applying for disney i havent bothered dying my hair which is how i suually disguise it as i dye my hair blueblack but its all grown out now. oh yeah on my picture on here u can see it slightly on the side where the lights hit it its a lighter colour
Mention it to them when you get there..Im sure it won't be a problem..It can't be helped so im sure they'll understand
see, I have brown hair, and I get highlights in red and blonde. they're coming out at the moment anyway, since highlights always do so it looks fine to me. Will likely risk it. it'll save me the money getting my hair highlighted back again! it just looks like multi-tonal colour to me now. *shrug*
I only got mine cut once whilst I was there at a place in Crossroads (not far from Downtown Disney) and they were great. Some of the others got theirs done at Florida Mall (I think!! could have been Millenia) and there were more mixed reactions but everyone who had theirs done at Crossroads had no problems. Charlotte x
Yeah, i never really came across a hair stylists.. I got my hair cut quite short before i went, so it just grew just the way i liked it towards the last week..Im never getting it cut that short ever again!
oh dear i guess I will try this place called Crossroads, but I don't know what I will do about my colour, i guess i will have to get it dyed back to my natural colour as I am not prepared to look like an early 90s reject. HA.
this is one of my biggest concerns... i like where i get my hair cut in the uk, and like the way that she cuts my hair. I'm really fussy with hairdressers... dont like to just go to any random one so i have been worrying a little. I'm on the 3 month program, and get it cut before i go away. But even in the uk i need to get it cut every 4 weeks, and it'll grow even quicker in warmer weather methinks.
