I'm not sure i'm going to like the answer to this question, but I feel it needs to be asked. Here's the thing: I have a kidney illness, which about 97% of the time is kept under control by medication, and shoes no signs. Basically, unless you are aware of it, you would not know that I have it. However, do you think Disney would have a problem with this? Or I would have trouble getting a visa or anything? (Obviously I would probably need to get more expensive health insurance.) I don't know, any advice or information on this would be greatly appreciated. ;D
disney dont ask about your health.. as long as you are noncontagious and you can go to work there should be no problem i think...
Disney shouldn't have a problem with it. Nor would border controls (visa). You will however have a big problem with health insurance as it's a pre-existing condition and most companies won't cover those. Basically, you'll have a much much harder time finding an insurance company that'll cover you to the extent that both you, and disney, will see as acceptable.
I have an auto-immune disease and I wasn't even asked anything about it. My insurance was ridiculously expensive but it's something that has to be done! You have to consider that you will be standing for hours on hours and it is crazy hot, but if you're ok with that go for it!!
Thank you so much for your replies. I'm pretty sure i will be okay getting insurance, as I was in Florida a few months ago, and I was insured without too much trouble. But it's good to hear they wouldn't take it into account. It's all so exciting, but nerve racking.
Just double check you'll be covered to work and you're all set I had surgery last summer so I had a really hard time getting covered!! All worked out in the end though, good times. How's the application going?
