I am on the ICP leaving in June and I was wondering when would be the best time to get my health insurance from and whom. Will Yummy get in contact with me or do I have to do it all independantly? Thannks Louise x
You can do it any time and you do it indepenantly of yummy. yummy jobs have an agreement with a company and you can buy it through this link http://www.yummyjobs.com/pages/insurance.html BUT that just covers the minimum of what Disney require, it isn't very good. Aslo it doesn't include travel insurance so unless you buy that seperately, you wont be covered for stuff like flight delays, lost and damaged luggage etc. I got the backpackers policy from Insure And Go for both my ICPs http://www.insureandgo.com/travel-insurance/Backpackers-Insurance.htm once you put in all your dates you can chose from 4 different options. i think i chose Bronze, the cheapest. Disney said it was fine both times.
I went and got medical insurance today! I got the best one (the Million dollar one) sheerly because the smaller ones (aside from maybe the next one down really wouldnt do the job if I got in a serious accident. Intensive care can be $5k a day and so I got the bigger one, I mean even so its not that expensive and gives a lot more cover for the price. Maybe im being paranoid lol... Regards, Jamie
