Which programme are you on? There is a medical insurance company recommended by Yummy Jobs. The link is on their website. I took mine with them. It wasn't that expensive. You can obviously go with anyone you want tho. There are minimal requirements which you should've got an email about. Ben
Im in the canada international program, i dont know anything about yummy jobs we go through cast a way. So im guessing it will be part of the package we recive.
Ah yes. Well I'm sure the agency in Canada can recommend something. If you want to check out the insurance company yummy jobs recommend go to www.yummyjobs.com and click the 'Insurance Policy' on the left hand side. You can then get a price quote for yourself.
Hey Ben, so, which choice did u take at yummy? Coeverage Option A, B, C or D? did u take it with the option or paying any deductible or not? saludos Medardo
Well when I took it out there was only a choice of option a or b haha. I took the more expensive one (which was B) because at that point in time there wasn't much between them. Only like $40. I don't remember it giving me a choice about a deductible tho :-\ I paid just under $165 which was very cheap to some other companies I looked at. I think I looked at BUPA and it was about four times as much. If Yummy recommend 'SevenCorners' I thought they would be pretty ok to use. I guess the way you have to look at it from a British perspective is that if you take a policy out with a US company it is usually going to work out a lot cheaper because the £ against the $ is so good for us! Hey i'm from Canada as well. I'm just starting to look into it. I dont think there is anywhere particular we need to go. BCAA or any insurance company should be able to give us insurance for the four months before going onto Disney's. I have a friend who works for BCAA so i'm going to get a quote from them and then insurance company my parents use as well, Just to see what the difference might be. Hope that helps a little. i did some research on a couple the other day for canada. blue cross was about $300 and covers emergency medical etc. also RBC travel insurance through a travel agent is pretty good. $275 i think it was for 4 months for classic medical.
There are lots of places to get it, travel agencies, some banks I just went right to a financial company Primerica Financial and it wasn't as expensive as I thought the places charge per day so depending where you go the rate could be a little high but right now the Premium rate is pretty much the same everywhere you go. Hope this helps a bit for everyone.
