Having fun

Hey Everyone,

Whats going on? I hear from a few people that is it beyond reality down there! What types of things are there to do down there for fun, other than actually being part of the Disney experience. I'm a little bit of a party animal, so I'm gonna need to keep myself occupied... Any suggestions would be amazing. THANKS!!

You will have no trouble keeping yourself "occupied." Fitting in time to sleep will be your biggest problem. Forcing yourself to go home early one night a week to get a decent sleep!!!

I'm an insomniac, thanks to working night shift at a sawmill for 3 years, so I don't sleep much as it is, so no worries there....

yeah, sleep kinda gets in the way of things here! Its tough having to force yourself to go to bed when you wanna stay up and play, but hangovers and work are a common occurence!

Personally, though, I never felt the need to get drunk to have a good time.

You'll find that "Saturday night" doesn't have much meaning down there. There aren't really any "weekends" per se because Disney's open 7 days a week so any night is party night. Monday is actually the BIG one in the Commons because it's the free night for Pleasure Island. Tuesday morning hangovers are the norm, not Sunday!

 

Exactly! There is no "weekend" at all while working at Disney. All the days just blend in because you could be working any day of the week! It's definitely party night EVERY night if you want it to be. When I was there it was:

Monday - PI
Tuesday - Jellyrolls (over 21's)
Wednesday - downtown Orlando usually Chillers
Thursday - PI
Friday - Bennigans
Saturday - anywhere!
Sunday - House of Blues (over 21's) and I think Jellyrolls was free on a Sunday too! ;D

There's always a cheap night somewhere for cast members! I worked in merch so was always in search for a cheap night...........not as much money as food & bev!!

Pi is now free mon tue wed thurs fri....wohoo!!!

 

Five nights??? It's probably a good thing I finished before that happened. That would have been a gongshow!!!!

 

I like the sound of this 5 nights in pi free entry (Yes I'll be in merch and have no money lol)

lol, yeah, you just have to drink at the commons before you go to PI. Its not long now until you come over is it Helen? There are only two new merchies in December but everyone that is here already is really nice, you'll have no problem settling in.

 

Hey Ian, yeah only 4 weeks and 2 days lol, I met a few ppl down at the embassy and they were all in food, so it got me thinking that there was only me and Izzy in merch. I wonder why there is only 2 of us and loads more for food, is more ppl from food comin home then??

Hey Helen don't you think it's wierd that we are they only 2 new merchies, so far we are the only one's flying from Manchester and we are the only 2 out of out TGI's group to get put in Merch (not including Ellen as she's in HRC)

 

not sure but there are a lot of us over here in merch so we dont need many people at the moment. i betyou cant wait to get over here.

 

what is there todo at P.I. if you underage? I love to dance, so can I still get into the clubs and whatnot?

 

Hey, there are only a couple of clubs that you cant get in to if you are under 21, but there are a lot of clubs that you can get into its just you won't have a wrist band so you won't be able to drink. But don't worry you will still have a great night out.
