I know plenty of people who did it-personally i wouldnt bother, because it would be quite expensive, at most you are going to get 6 days off(2 days travelling, a day recovering etc etc, leaving you with 3 days-seems a bit pointless to me), and it just would seem a bit wierd to me to suddenly end up sleeping in your own bed just for 5 days int he middle of working in Florida-let people come to you lol, its cheaper and the weather is nicer

Yeah plus if your family & friends come over, you get hotel/park discount so it would be more fun if they come to you & you could show them round. :)

I flew home for 5 days n middle of my contract - was fine for me i slept on plane s didnt get jet lag or anything - it was useful cos imanaged to bring home 2 suitcases and a large backpack full of crap (mainly shoes i got a bit obsessive about buying shoes out there lol) which saved me money at the end of my trip to ship them home. it wasnt hugely expensive i think like $600 round trip and cos i live about 3 hours by coach from gatwick it really didnt seem that bad to me

i think tho i wouldnt do that again just ebcause if i get out there this time i would rather do the cruise or go visit somewhere else

i went back to the UK for a week during my program, didnt cost that much (about $400 return flights with virgin atlantic) but i wouldnt do it again, id much rather use my free time & money to go somewhere else in the states or do the cruise, or new york etc, theres really no point in coming back to the UK during the year!!!!
