been contacted by yummy today? i was contaced in work and i called them back and Jason asked me if i could start earlier - like around 12th june rather than august 28th! im going to ask my manager in work tomorrow about it but i dont think i will be able to as im taking a year out from work and they are getting someone in on secondment to cover my job. im actually suprised they called me because i said on my form i couldnt leave until august. do u think if i tell them i cant leave earlier due to work that will jeapordise my job offer ?
It definately shouldn't jeprodise your job offer as you've already accepted it. The job is yours for the dates you agreed to! That's so weird you got that call!
I got the call aswell but had to turn them down since I have now planned two holidays and a going away party all for August. Michelle was really nice about it though
i had to turn them down but oh well iactually think i would have liked to start earlier but because they had already given me the start date i had planned everything around it i wonder who they got to go instead?
Had a phone call on Wednesday myself... but I really can't miss my graduation, I think my Mum'd kill me! Lol.
At this rate we'll end up with less in June... and the newbies will be doing extra work before getting settled in! Surely they haven't run out of people on the waitlist though!?
maybe we should tell waitlisted to contact yummy now and see if they get offered it then. since it seems the best way to get off the waitlist is to contact them rather than the other way around...
