i went 3 years ago on halloween night, was the best halloween event i have ever been too. i was in the islands of adventure park and the way they changed the whole park from the day time to the night time evets was brilliant. was really scary!! especially loved the carts serving alcohol all round the park!!!!! definately have to do it again when im there, wont be till halloween 2010!!

Hey i have heard of the halloween nights 2 how scary are they Jim? Not a big fan of horror movies/scary shit but if its really good might have to pluck up some courage and go to it cos start in October so will just be in time and want 2 experience everything whilst I'm over there :D

p.s do u have to book tickets well in advance to go ???

  6. No you can if u want but last time i didn't and there were plenty of tickets available! We just bought them on the day, yea i would totally recommend going mate! They're really quite amazing to be honest. You dont have to do the scary houses or anything as the entire theme park is like all halloween fun crazed, but the trick is if something is really scaring you, just ignore it and the actors will leave u alone as it makes them look stupid. They only go after the folk who scream and run, a guy chased me with a fake chainsaw which makes the noise of a chainsaw from Shrek ride - terminator then i took refuge in a Cafe!

Horror Nights is amaaazing! Im definately going this year!

One thing I would say is when I was there everyone who went said they were waiting upto an hour, even more to get into some houses! I went November 2nd, just after halloween and I couldnt believe how quiet it was. . still exactly same experience and plenty of people roaming the park but it was maximum 5 minutes for any house! so you could go through your favourite houses all night! As soon as halloween is over people dont seem to go. . . so this time round I might do the same thing and go once halloween is over. . or right at the beginning but i dont think ill be there in time.

I want to go, but haunted houses scare the crap out of me. The idea of someone with a chainsaw chasing me down a hallway....ahh!

But I love scary movies....does that make any sense?

Anyways, I'll probably still go! I think I'll get the Frequent Fear Pass, which lets you go I believe 13 times for the price of one peak night.

I need to find people to go with because everyone I know is too scared! Halloween Horror Nights is awesome and I don't get easily scared (though the chainsaws freak me out, but they can't touch you so what the hey). So if you want to go, I'm definitely interested!

Oh gosh I really want to check this out if I get to spend a year down there *fingers crossed*

Granted, I say that with the complete knowledge that I will spazz out somewhat around every corner! Even horror movies I have issues with... I'm the one that shrieks and jumps out of her seat every so often ::) But I think it's one of those things you *have* to do at least once!

In 2006 a friend of mine was doing the Canada CRP and he took a whole bunch of pics of Halloween Horror Nights when he went (twice... a glutton for punishment apparently!). So just thought I'd pass on the link to those pics in case any of ya were interested! http://mickeyslittlehelper.smugmug.com/Travel/WDWIP-Florida-2006-2007/Universal-Halloween-Horror/3103164_SNCc2#169705806_2tNJC

Based on the pics alone, I know I'll be running away from a lot of things... and it may actually take every ounce of courage I have to step into those haunted houses! :D
