;D hey i fly out on the 14th August and can any girls out there tell me if there are any decent hairdressers and are they expensive? oh and do we have a shower or a bath? xxxxxx
hey u have a bath and shower, ive tried a few hairdressers but im real happy with a salon called teh cut and colour room, its over at crossroads about 5 minutes away and like 8 dollars in a cab and all the staff are american (which is so rare here) so they totally get what ur asking for and use all the good products like GHD bed head etc, its real good, im extremlly piky about my hair coz i workd in a salon for 4 years so im glad this ones good. xx hope it helps
drinking thanks for the info. coz im really fussy about my hair as well i like it in good condition. how long have you been over there for now then? if you drink under 21 in your own house can you still get booted off coz we have been told it is really strict and not to bother risking it. xxxxxxx
If you are under 21, which you will be in a 'Wellness' apartment, which means alcohol-free; if you have any alcohol in it, you can get terminated, yes.
hey cadey ive been here 5 months today, i leave on sep 1st, and no u cant drink in ur house lol, they r so strict x
Yeah even if you're at a party in an over 21's house, you can't hold a drink for someone as that's classed as possession and then that's bye bye CM! We have two bathroom's in our apartment and only one of them has a bath, but both have showers. Which is good because I don't have bath's anyway!
i arrive 14th august when your leaving near enough haha i cant believe how strict they are over there are you actually allowed to go in a nightclub if your twenty like me. i love my baths and showers i hope i get both.
All i know is that you can get into any club at PI, you just dont get a wristband saying you can drink. And I guess they're strict because it's State law, and if it got found out that disney allowed underaged drinking, it wouldn't be very good for them
i suppose so i go 21 next march so ill have to wait till then, never mind. im from a uni in england so will i go to commons? where are you from? 8) 8)
As a warning, one of my roommates was terminated for an incident at PI....he tried to enter a 21+ only club using false ID. The security realised he was a CM, reported him and he was sent home. My point: you don't have to be drinking, or even trying to drink; the rules are that strict. Alcohol laws in many US states, Florida included, are strictly enforced (if Disney decided to report you for underage drinking, termination could be the least of your worries), so Disney do take it *very* seriously. (Another, more serious example...if you remember Louise Woodward, British Nanny in Massachusetts convicted of involuntary mansalughter of a child in a controversial cases; the fact she had used false-identification to enter a nightclub was admitted by the courts as evidence of bad character, that significantly counted against her.)
as if i knew it was strict but they some of the laws seem a bit over the top especially with me living in england its so relaxed here. im not really bothered about the drinking i can wait for my bday i just dont want to accidently break the law if you know what i mean coz disney fire people easily dont they my lecturer has told me when she came back from visiting students already over there.
It's all for our own good anyway. I'm from the Uk it depends what program you're on to where you live. I'm on the Disney College Program so I'm at Vista... the best ner
im on the international programme im studying events mangement at uni so i went for the new events placement that they have now. yeah iv seen your photos and your room is pretty big, i hope i get a nice room. they move you when you turn 21 dont they so your living with same age that may be drinking? did you fly straight to orlando or did you detour anywhere, coz think im going straight to orlando airport. ;D
Hey, a good place to get your hair done is Salon Cielo at the Florida mall its a really nice place, ask for kipper! It will cots you about $180 usd for a colour and cut.
$180 bucks eh? Thats what like 250 CDN? Seems like a lot to me lol (I'm assuming thats a typo and should be 18 am I right?)
girls hair Jorde. ours is costly. To do my hair cut/colour is $200 because my hair is REALLY thick and goes halfway down my back, oh the things we do for beauty lol
wow I knew girls hair obviously cost more, but still that seems awefully expensive anyway... now I see why some girls get their hair cut privatly...
I have my hair done here at home and it's pretty short but has a COOL style to it and it costs me $140 CND!! I had it done today before I leave for my Disney vacation TOMORROW and my hairdresser is SO concerned about where I will get my hair down whilst I am done there!! MY HAIR IS MY THANG!!! I use salon stuff on the doo and I LOVE IT!!! Any help with this is VERY important to me!! HAHAHAHAHH
$200 Tessa? For hair? I know I'm male and all, but *wow*! ETA: The Main Street Barber Shop is much cheaper...and more fun
I´m glad that someone open this forum cause I have the same questions about my hair...about hair products I don´t worry cause my father has a beauty supply store so I have tons of hair treatments, but the thing that´s killing me is where I´ll cut my hair cause I´ve been going to the same hairdresser since little cause he is the only person that does my hair exactly as I like it to be, so please... tell us more about really good hairdressers... see ya!!
