GOT MY PACKAGE AND BOOKED MY FLIGHT.....IT'S OFFICIAL!!

Hey guys I finally got my package and booked my flight!! I can't belive I'm actually going! Now I just have to get my insurance, renew my passport, and pack all my stuff!!

dont know yet ... ill do that in the next few days .... humm i was reading the stuff about the visaand im not sure if i understand all of it .. we have to show on of these paper at the borders , and then they stamp our passport ? or are they doing it in orlando?? any clues ?
did you see the visa sheet with all our names on it ... kind of funny mine is at the bottom of the list lol .. i think i saw yours brigitte , and i saw liz one ...

Ok you have to book that flight then it's problem solved for us! If you do we'll tell each other what we'll be wearing and find each other at the airport or something!!

Yeah me and Jaime have been emailing back and forth so we booked the same flight together to make sure we have someone to go with!

As for the VISA..we are going to get something else in the mail (the thing that we give to customs at the airport) It's not in Orlando...depends on where you are stopping but it should be the last city you hit before entering the states...customs will stamp it and staple it to your passport. For us Canadians that means we don't have to do anything for now....IF I'M WRONG PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND TELL US THE RIGHT THING CAUSE IT IS A BIT CONFUSING!!

thats what i was thinking too.....but im like how will the border crossing people know i need this stamp and where am i supposed to stop and get it....so confusing im gonna call that number on that page about your travel arangements and see what they say cus of driving.....hopefulyy everythign will go well

 

Hey Everyone....

Glad to see that the packages are arriving and everyone is getting their flights booked.

Aside from the excitement and nervousness that goes on, the customs stuff at the airport isn't too bad. You need to take the copy of the Visa stuff that came in your package. You need to get your I-94 card. That's what they stamp and staple into your passport. If you go to the US gov't website, you can actually search for the I-94 card to see what it looks like. I asked for mine when I was checking in for my flight. They may or may not have any. If they don't, you can just get one at US customs. So, as confusing as it may seem, it's really not all that bad.

ok so this I-94 card thingy......we don't have to get it in advance do we? We just go to the airport and ask US customs and they will give us one when we show them our VISA thing from Disney? If somone could clear that up for me it would be great cause I'm kinda worried!

In the Toronto Airport, I got mine when I got into the line in Customs...well actually, I got to the front of the line and didn't have it and they sent me to fill one out. So, just ask someone while you are in the customs line waiting. If you are driving, you'll get it at the border, if they don't mention it...ask them.

Just something else I thought of...if you go on a cruise or leave the US to anywhere other than Canada...bring the form you get in your package with all the names and dates on it. My bf and I went on a Carnival Cruise and both got harassed at the end by customs because neither of us had it. We had no idea. More him getting harassed than I because he was UK, but they said we both needed it. A lot of times too, Customs officers won't have a clue about your Q-1 Visa, because many of them have never seen them. A lot of times they will call to other officers, like hey, here is one of those "Disney" visas that we've heard about. So you may get asked a few questions.

Canadians don't have a VISA. You just have a work permit. The VERY IMPORTANT paper is the one with all the names and birthdays on it.
