    Hi!
I'm going to Orlando on sep. 20.
I love Disney parks, but I went to Universal Studios in Los Angeles and in Osaka, and I love them, so I was thinking about buying a one-year-pass for the Orlando's ones.
Do you know how much is it?
Is it difficult to reach the Univesal Studios with pubblic transportation?
    Thank you,
    Clara

I got a preferred pass for Universal Studios and it was just under $200......

you can get the power pass for about $120 but it's not nearly as good.....

you get the I-trolley to universal, or the lynx buses from the outlet malls across the street.....or a cab costs about $20

A Preferred pass you can use 365 of the year and it gives you really good discounts on food and merchandise and on tickets for special events and on going to citywalk....

the power pass gives you no discounts and has black out days when you can't use it!

Most people I knew had the cheaper pass. The discount isn't that great (20%) and you'd have to buy quite a bit to make up the money. You will probably not use the parking all that much. And the blackout days are the same as the Disney ones pretty much...the really busy days...and you'll most likely have to work them and if you don't...why would you want to go to the park when it is packed, when you can go on days when it is EMPTY!?!?!?! You can spend the extra $80 bucks on much better things.

I can only talk from holiday experience, but the nearest I-ride Trolley stop is quite a walk away from Universal. If we missed the hotel bus, we would take the Trolley and then get a taxi, but if you time it right, you can get a Lynx bus straight to the park from there. I liked the Lynx busses- they sped up and down I-Drive because all the tourists used the Trolley (which can take two hours from one end to the other). The Lynx busses can take you out of the way to places like the Florida Mall, and different Walmarts. A little more expensive($1.50, and you can buy a day pass on the bus) and have a Sunday Service, but there is a list you can pick up from some hotels that show you how to get to the parks and other places using the Lynx busses and/or Trolley.
