I was just wondering if anyone knew/had any advice on exactly how strict Disney are on prescription glasses, please? I know they can't be coloured but are they strict on detail, for example, say if there was a bit of sparkle/pattern on the arms? Or is it strictly 'your blind and it's your punishment to wear boring glasses?' ! It's just I don't want to spend a load of money on a new pair for them to make me buy more when I'm over there. Thanks Julie x
Although most of the pavilions will not mind if they are just outside of the 'Disney Look' the people at Disney University (where you have traditions) will. Your choice, if they are just outside of the look then I would run with it, at the end of the day, what can they make you do, go blind?
I'm in the fortunate position of having my dad as my optician - he owns his own practice which is great cause I can get free specs woohoo! I have just ordered a really gorgeous pair - this is a hideous picture - they look much nier in the brown I promise! http://www.continental-eyewear.co.uk/frameDetails.asp?frameID=218 But they will mostly be for traditions and stuff. i have co-erced the receptionists into ordering me plentiful amounts of contact lenses behind dad's back muahahah! (He doesn't like paying for them! I offer to pay he still moans about it.) Not decided on the sunglasses front yet! Not sure to take prescriptions or not...?? It's all very well having them but it's a right rigmoral taking off the normal ones to put on sunglasses... maybe better to just wear contacts and get a cheapo pair from walmart wooooo! Also a note to anyone with Transitions (or the specsavers equivalent is it Reactions??) - I considered it but whenever I have seen people with them they can get very very dark and I think I'm right in saying that the disney look requires that your eyes can be seen behind sunspecs?? Plus they go dark so quick yet take so long to clear! *sigh* sorry i am totally rambling. I'm just trying to ignore the impending exam and how much practice I really should be doing right now :X
You can always check with someone once you get there. Mine are frameless glasses but the sides are black with red Ted Baker logos on them, but the Disney people said they were fine and were no problem. However before I went I got another pair that matched my skin colour so much they blended in! That was just in case my other ones were not suitable.
i bought a new pair of glasses just a few weeks ago.. http://www.5starshades.com/catalog/DG_3043_502.jpg do you think they are all right? ive got another pair in black (which i dont like) and one in some kind of brownish orange (probably to much color for disney)
what about these? they do look conservative in the picture but they'r a lot more chic, u know, in real life haha... also a bit more pink!
she looks so different now! i was hoping my optician would think i was blind the other day so i could get some of them bad boys!!!
I bought some new glasses, I pray they're OK because I forked out a lot lol! This is the pair I was going to wear "on the job" They're semi-framless and have a tiny strip of diamantes on the side (literally four on the side) And the other pair are these, which I was gonna leave for my day off (they're actually pink): Will they be OK? If worst comes to worst I guess I can wear my old ones, but they are pink, but they have no diamantes whatsoever on them x
