Hmm, it says the girl has no prior health problems, how could the wave machine cause deaht. I suppose that's what the inquest is for, but it may be un-disney-related and just bad timing?

Oops, ok then, I worded that badly.
But still, it's sad that people visit here and encouter these difficulties. Disney are victims of circumstance, if anything I guess. And the results are tragic for the guests.

I was just thinking the exact same thing. Disney never had this kind of thing happen up til this year. :(

There have always been incidents occuring at Disney theme parks its just that everything is a lot more publisised nowadays. There was the incident in 2004 with Big Thunder Mountain in DisneyLand when people died. I know of kids who have died on Its a Small World cause they fell under a boat at the loading dock. An engineer died after falling from Skyway about 8 years ago.

Although Disney is a very safe place, there is still an element of risk associated with thrill rides. With so many visitors each year, it is inevitable that someone will hurt themselves.

And sadly, the rumours and legend that no-one has ever died at Disney is untrue. They are just that Myths and legends.

    weird ey? :

"We had a guy last summer who went to EPCOT, stood in front of the golf ball, took a gun, and blew his head off. But he didn't die. He stood right there in front of all those tourists and went "cluck" and brains blew everywhere. But he didn't die there. The medic told me that they are not allowed to let them die there. Keep them alive by artificial means until they're off Disney property, like there's an imaginary line in the road and they go, "He's alive, he's alive, he's dead."

Oooh, did you get that from this site: http://www.snopes.com/disney/parks/declare.htm ? That whole website is actually pretty interesting, it's a whole bunch of compiled urban legends and the author researches the background of them to find out if they are true or not.

I usually check it out if I get a weird forward about prizes and stuff. Cause I like prizes, but I don't like junk. :)
