I have a pre existing medical condition which they don't seem to cover - so to save on hassle once I get out there, I'm getting my 13months worth of insurance with someone else lol I can get it paid off before I leave too so I'm set :)

oh no actually its coming up at $196 for four months, does that sound like a fair price for cover?

By the way the website is the one disney provided:

Actually I am also really confused about my travel insurance. Disney recommended www.insureandgo.com , and they do an annual travel insurance but the maximum you can travel on one trip is 90 days. Well as I am going for four months does this mean that it is all one trip from the uk? Or is it a few trips, as I will be going to florida, then at the end of the contract (90 day perdiod) i will then be travelling, so is that classed as seperate trip?

im still waiting on a reply from yummy about something else!

what i will say to you all before you take out insurance is if you are at uni check if you're covered by them. I checked and as i am still part of the degree course i am, covered so i dont need 2 take any cover out!

    Hey,
Thanks for the insurance websites, i am looking at sorting it all out, didn't know it would cost so much just to get out there! got a list of things to pay for form yummy on the fone the other day too! lol.

I was told by Mindi that we (international Prog participants) had to have insurance for the first 4 months that we were there because after 90 days we are entitled to disney company benefits and medical schemes etc. I get some kind of medical insurance through the disney store but not sure if i can blag that to cover me over there! lol.

yeah bry mindi was correct. jason told me you get cover with disney after the beginning of the 3rd full month you are there

eg i get there 21st june, so i need to be covered til october 1st (all of july, august and september, plus when i arrive in june) so its just over 3 months i need so u need 2 get 4 months... if that makes any sense!

yeah ask uni hun, i asked them and they told me i was covered so forwarded the insurance deets to jason to check and he said they were ok for my cover!

Well, I have epilepsy and it's SO very difficult to find a company that will cover both the length of time I was asking for (before you qualify for the Disney insurance) AND the medical condition. By pure chance, I got cover with Boots no less lol And at £360 for the WHOLE 13 months - I can have that paid off before I leave, so I won't have to worry about paying out of my wages when I get there, because (chances are) I'd have been at the higher end of the $$ scale.

I'm sure it would, but I figure if I can get it all paid off at a pretty good price before I go - all the better for me. I just know with the whole medical conditon thing, it ALWAYS complicates medical insurance and I always end up at the sky high end of the plan. I'd rather not have any nasty surprises after four months!
