Hey guys, I know this is a bit of a personal question, and I know that some people won't want to answer, and that's cool, but I was just wondering. To get to Disney we're going to need about £1000 before we start working. Visa, Flights, first couple of weeks food and rent... that kinda stuff, and I was just wondering how other people were thinking of funding their trip? Personally, I need to find more than £1000 as I have loan payments to make aswell (damn being an adult) and I've not yet worked out how on earth I'm going to do it. Apart from working all hours god sends, of course. Which would only work if my boss *gave* me more hours, which he won't. I think I need to go job hunting... Oh, and grovel to the parents. Really would rather not be doing that, but hey. Looking forward to seeing a nice little range of answers (I hope). Vikki
I started a new job yesterday. Going to be working pretty much full time as a waitress, and we won't be leaving until Jan at the earliest (I beleive) so thats plenty of time to build up a little stash-o-cash to get me out there. Hopefully should look good on my application too.
Well if you think about it, its what february the nearest start date??? So that 9 months away. So if u put say 100 a month away till then ud have ur 1000. Plus it might be later so u could have longer to save! Plus u could ask for a christmas gift for it! Just save here and there, it wont be so hard! Its a long time to save!!
£100 a month away... done. £100 a month loan payment... done. £100 a month saving up for loan payments while away... done. That comes to £300 a month. Oh, and I have to live. Rent and bills and food seem to cost money as well. Not complaining, just making you realise why this is going to so hard, and why I started the topic. Currently earning: £6 an hour. Full time?! My arse. Average hours per week: 10. Starting to see my worry here? I'm going to have a fun weekend, socialise, do some more shifts. Pester my boss (again) for more hours... with a valid reason this time. Then come monday, I shall be attacking my CV. Not just for Disney, but also to try and get me another job. Fingers crossed eh? Damn me for getting too attached to the expensive things in this flat... 3 saxophones could be sold for alot, but I just refuse to part with them. *sigh*
ah i guess so. if u manage to get a full time job, then i guess your last pay check will come in handy! and christmas money!!!
Well i been working at McDonald's for about 4 month in school holidays and when you work 12-8 everyday you don't have time to spend your money OK i don't have to pay for rent and food but just think the more you save now the more fun you can have in ORLANDO!!!!!
I so need to start saving and stop shopping trips to TKMaxx in my lunch break! Damn their bargains!! lol x
I need to stop my collection of Blue Nosed Friends :'( So so upsetting. Got paid today though, which is always rather handy. Then again, my pay check this week has jsut covered living expenses. Damn, saving is going to be hard. Might have to start sweet talking my Grandma. Bizarrely, I'm happier getting monetary gifts off my Grandma than I am my parents. Am I odd?
I'm working at a Devere Hotel near where I live. I have to wear a shirt and tie and everything, all feels a bit swish, but is most definately not funky. Very nice though.
