Hi I hope someone will be able to help me with this as i've got all confuzzled :-[ Got the DS2019 & Finances form through the other day. DS2019 - think i've got that one sorted The finances form: right, i really don't get it and I know i'm being a bit thick but: I currently don't have a grand in the bank so my parents have said that they will get a statement from their account showing the £1000 and will submit a letter saying they are sponsoring me. Now do they need to get a further statement from the bank stating their name and the amount in the account?! And do I still need to submit something from my account - even though there is no money in it & I have no statements to this effect to prove I have a UK bank account?! I'm really really confused Please help!!!! xxx
yeah you do....you need to show the embassy that you have enough money to get yourself home after the program... i think its a question to ask yummy...when i did the icp in 2005, i showed the embassy all my account statements (isa's,student loan, savings account..etc) to prove i have enough money to support myself during my program and get myself home. i think it should be fine, but i dunno....hopefully yummy will have a clear answer for you. great news to here about you getting ya forms, wish i had mine now....that way i can get my visa sorted and im not worried about leaving stuff to last min!
its just j1 visas that you need to show funds for, q-1 visas dont require that (says on embassy website) and I think medical checks are done at clinics only if you are going on the cruise ship is that right?
Re: Forms from Yummyjobs - UCF & J1 Visa Hi Thanks for all the answers, but i'm actually on the J1 visa so I think I have different rules to follow ??? Anyone on the UCF/J1 visa any ideas?? xx
I took a bank statement, but also my Mum wrote a letter stating she would be able to get me home if I didn't have the money, but they didn't want to see either of them.
