Fore those who are already living the expericence...how much is the rent?

i´d just like to have an ideia of the price of the rent...so, if you could tell me where r u living, and how much is the rent there, just for me to be a little prepared...i going on november 28th as a QS F&B to work at disney resort.

hey there, at the Commons your rent will be somewhere between $75 and $89 depending on where you live. (for example an 8 bedroom is $75 while a one bedroom is $89) Unless you are working for a participant company, which i unfortunately am, in which case the rent is $12 more a week on top of whatever everyone else pays! ??? I dont know why, it just is! Disney will take your rent out of your pay anyway.

is it really as much fun living at the commons as what iv read? i cant wait to arrive, im going 5th dec and really excited but very scared where is it your working? im gona be in uk f&B!!! also, how do they pay you do you have to set up an american bank account or can you just use your own current account?

Ive got to be honest, living in the commons is the best! Life can be a bit of a soap opera sometimes, and everyone knows everyones business (especially within the UK pavillion!) but its tonnes of fun- its so great living with or at least near all your friends. If youve ever been to uni and lived in halls, thats basically what life is like here!

I am working in something called HRC, which is a little shop sandwiched in between all the UK merch shops- its a participant company so my situation is a little bit different to some peoples, but essentially I live and hang out with the rest of the UK'ers- so even though we wont work together we will meet im sure! F&B work just accross the road in the Rose and Crown pub (sorry if youve been to Disney and im explaining stuff you know!) But some of my best friends here work in F&B, as well as in merch so we are bound to meet and hang out (I hope!) lol.

As for getting paid there are two ways, either you get paid a check which you can cash at the local supermarket etc, or eventaully most people set up a bank acount and then they pay you into that each week. But watch the american banks- they are out to take your money!! lol
