Hey Guys, im set to join the DCL on Dec 2nd, still dont know which ship, i was wondering if anyone could tell me bout the food? what its like, when cast can get food etc?
There is basically a restaurant for crew only commonly referred to as the 'crew mess'. It opens throughout the day serving breakfast, lunch, dinner. It's all self service.. so you would just take a tray in and help yourself to whatever you want. The food works on a rotational basis... so you do see a lot of the same foods. Occasionally there might be a theme dinner for a special occasion... and there are all sorts... not just the common 'Thanksgiving' and 'Christmas'. I think they do a pretty good job at catering to 80 different nationalities... the food is edible... just gets very repetitive. You'll see a lot of strange foods you didn't think existed... and rice is usually always there somewhere in the mix haha. Seen as you are in Youth Activities you will eat with the children a lot of the time, which unfortunately is mostly junk food... pizza, fries, mac & cheese... that kind of thing. They try to include 'counsellor only' food but most people go for the junk! As for which ship you are on? If you already have your contract look at the bottom of the page... you should see a strange code made up of letters and numbers. If you notice a DW anywhere in that code you are going to the wonder.. DM would be for the Magic. Goodluck!
