Ok again I realize I'm really getting ahead of myself lol I plan to bring a car with me for the duration of the program. But according to my research (haha I sound like Dorothy Ann from Magic Schoolbus) it takes about a week to get the proper plates and license for in Florida. So my concern is that the commons or patterson or w/e I end up won't let me park my car inside the complex b/c I won't have the proper paperwork. Any thoughts??
I wouldn't worry about it since I'm sure they're used to dealing with this type of thing. They will probably just ask you to pop by the office and update your vehicle information as soon as you have it. I'm pretty sure you can drive your car on your Canadian license/plates for about a month, so I really wouldn't be surprised if they see a real mix of plates at the start of any program. That said though, might be worth contacting Price Management, the cool cats that manage the CP/ICP/CRP complexes, since they'll be able to give you a straight answer!
ditto what Shanan said! You can drive for a while with your Canadian plate I wouldn't worry - but calling price wouldn't be a bad idea! I MIGHT be bringing one as well, so i'll look into it too!
I will be driving Aurora Phoenix down (yes that is the name of my car) and she will have snazzy florida licence plates. But I think they give you a little while to switch them over. Will have to check that out!
Yea they give u a while, but not too long. Cos my friend lindsay had to park her car at the chatham outside car park and walk round to commons whenever she drove as she was to lazy to get florida plates lol.
Yeah you def have to get on it, but they give you a bit of time I think - after all we do have a lot going on that first month!
