According to some of the links on here, you can get your own place, but you still have to pay for a spot at disney[? check the florida living link]. Any of the larger apartments services like room mates.com and apartment finder normally have pictures and or reviews of places to stay. Living in Florida is VERY expensive though [my mom and dad live in venice beach and get hammered by the cost of living], so I would definetly check the overall cost versus your budget. We have a pretty sweet deal on the living situation right now.

however, if you can't stand living at the disney complex, you could probably try bribing all of your other roomies to get a place with you and see how that turns out

oh god - dont get a place outside the commons - no one can explain what its like to live here but its great. Your friends are on your doorstep nd u can phone them at all times of the day and night, we go out for meals, drinks have pizza at each others houses, dvd nights etc, if u dont live in the commons u really will regret it!!!!!

Is the commons 21 and over? I'm just trying to figure out where I may be [I'll turn 25 a few weeks after I arrive] Also, is there a way to request the commons on check in day or is it first come, first serve?

90 % of the fun must be living in commons, right? So why consider living on the oustside?

    the day u arrive!

The apts range from 2-8 people, and it will either be a wellness (all under 21) or an overage apt!

If your under 21 when u arrive then u have your 21st birthday (like me) u have the option of moving ou but ive stayed where i am cos i get on with my housemates!!

I guess I"ll have to come find you guys since I'm on the college program. Are all of the places close together or is there a pretty good distance between the buildings? My friend is an alum, but she is hiding somewhere so I can't ask her any questions :)

I wouldn't really call it boring... I was / still am at a huge party school and had some run ins with drinking too much [140 tab for my friends and I, that I payed :((] ... you wind up saving alot of money in the long run, or, if you choose to have a few, don't be crazy like us and blow your whole paycheck in one night :)

that's good to know [about the pressure part]. I'm there to meet the people from all over the world, as well as beefing up my resume. I don't want to screw that up by being a typical college guy and living off of stale beer and pizza for breakfast :D
