Nope, STA is not just for students or folk who are 26 and under. In fact they have their own chain now called STA Travel Plus for people of any age (though they don't seem to have flights to Orlando online, best ringing them).

You might not get the flights quite as cheap, but I'm sure it wouldn't make too much difference.

You'll need to call them and tell them you're over 26, and ask what offers they can give you, they have a contact number online for the main call centre.

Also try expedia and online places like that. I'd avoid the virgin website, it's really expensive. It's generally cheaper to fly out of London.

    Good luck plane hunting :)

First of all.......... YAY YOU'RE COMING!!!!

With the flights... I just did a search on Sta, and didn't tick that you were a student or under 26, so I'm guessing the prices they've come up with are available to you. I got some up Manchester-MCO June 9th for £289 - Virgin Atlantic. You might wanna get in touch with Sta (by phone, cos they never replied to my emails!) and ask them what the deal is with being over 26 and not a student. You don't wanna miss a barg like that! ;D

And I've just searched travelsupermarket, from Gatwick and from Manchester, and they've come up with similar prices to the ones you were getting, except flights with Air Lingus from Gatwick, which came up as £267. Only problemo with that one is you'd have to change at Dublin, and since Dublin is outside of the UK it might mess up the visa so I don't know if you'd be able to do that... best talk to Michele!

Hoped that helped.................! SO GLAD YOU'VE DECIDED TO GO!! :D

Hey, yes as others have said don't worry about the age thing, Im 27 and booked my flights through STA. You need to ring STA Oxford though and speak to Rachel, say you've been given her details from Yummy jobs.........they'll sort you for sure. It should be alot cheaper, I paid half of what Virgin wanted directly.

  5. You can get flights for a lot cheaper than that. One of the people I went with last summer has got a flight for just over £300. It will be a little more expensive at that time of year anyway. It is the beginning of peak season.

Expedia! I looked with them and Virgin was cheap on there. Obviously June is a peak time so flights will be a lot more expensive.

When i booked with STA it didn't make any difference to the price whether i said i was under 16 or not. Still came out at £443

Would have liked it cheaper but not going to risk the chance that i MAY get a flight if i book last minute

You'll definitly be able to find it cheaper than £400 I reacon..

Travelsupermarket is normally the best though..But there's quite a few nowadays..If you look on www.quidco.com/ some sites will offer you cashback when you buy your flight..Make sure your signed in though, otherwise you won't get the cashback!

You would be better looking at the scheduled airlines rather than the charter airlines, not only because with Scheduled you fly into Orlando International (MCO) which is closer to the Disney Complex than Sanford International (SFB) a charter airline company can make you pay alot more for you ticket and are not as flexible with dates.

I was looking though the airlines for a friend last week and I come up with the following flights, They are based on Manchester departures for June dates but London departures will differ very slightly. If you need any help or information with flights I am more than happy to help, my five year experience in the airline industry can help.

...Prices quoted below are return fares (used as one way flights, as return fares can be considerably lower than one way fares, book a return flight and not show up for the return leg) direct with the named airline website.

Aer Lingus - £332.38 - Manchester to Dublin to Orlando.
Virgin Atlantic - £862.40 - Manchester direct to Orlando
American Airlines - £304.10 - Manchester to Chicago to Orlando
British Airways - £503.50 - Manchester to Gatwick to Orlando
Delta Airlines - £327.90 - Manchester to Atlanta to Orlando
US Airways - £353.00 - Manchester to Philadelphia to Orlando
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines - £338.00 - Manchester to Amsterdam to Detroit to Orlando
United Airlines - £460.90 - Manchester to Heathrow to Washington to Orlando
Lufthansa - £513.00 - Manchester to Frankfurt to Washington to Orlando
Air France - £341.10 - Manchester to Paris to Atlanta to Orlando
Continental Airlines - £314.90 - Manchester to New York to Orlando
Air Canada - £552.70 - Manchester to Heathrow to Toronto to Orlando

Also you could try travel agents like TUITravel Limited (Thomson and First Choice) or Thomas Cook which now owns Going Places.

    Alternatively you can try Flight Centre, Trailfinders, travelsupermarket, www.opodo.co.uk, www.travelocity.co.uk, www.ebookers.co.uk, www.expedia.co.uk, www.wefly.co.uk, www.travelbag.co.uk, www.cheapflights.co.uk, www.flightline.co.uk, www.airfaresflights.co.uk, www.netflights.co.uk.

It will pay to shop around for the best deal. Have Fun.
