Hey could anyone tell me about the first few days? I'm arriving about 6pm on June the third - when do u actually start the training? Do we get a few days to settle first? Thanks!
Are you CRP? The first days for CRP's you mainly fix things like social security nr, sign your contracts, information about the disney bank. You also go to Disney University for Traditions and you'll have Discovery day in Epcot...
you will need to be up and ready and out by 8.30am the next day most probably. You will be busy and need to be up early for the 1st few days you arrive. on my 2nd program i arrived at vista way at about 2am (delayed flight!) had 2 or 3 days of housing meetings, then a day of traditions, then 2 days on the job training then straight into work. I think my first day off was about 10 or 11 days after arriving! ;D
What i was describing was my experience on the ICP ;D, But as Kevus sais, he has a week off after his training whereas my first days off were the 12th and 13th days of being there, then back to work. totally depends where they put you and how they schedule you! I kinda liked being throw into it though and met loads of new people AND had a nice pay check!
hehe i was the opposite to stu... i didnt mind having a crappy pay check! hehe Next time round though Im gonna have to try and earn more money and not come back with so much debt! haha my first couple of weeks was kinda average. Think i got a day off after traditions and then started training. I know one guy who didnt have anything for 7 days after traditions! I was jealous! hehe Of course he didnt get any pay though so i guess it depends how u look at it.
I was on the go from the start.... the first two days were social security and banking,..blah blah blah,...third day was Traditions, 4th was Once Upon a Time is Now (MK training), 5th was F&B training...actually there might have been two days of that....then 7 days of OTJ at the bakery...then I finally got a day off! I think anyway...maybe I need to reread my blog again!
Pretty much the same for me! I think I had training and worked for about two weeks before I had a day off...
wouldnt it be best to have your stuff first few days so not only you money, but you meet people, get your stuff together and organised? i assume you would be tired but surely the pros outweigh the cons!
We went to bed at 8pm the first two nights due to jet lag. Kinda hard when its the Superbowl weekened!
