    OK new topic time!!!
What is everyone's favourite country in the World Showcase and why? Who has the best rides/ food/ talent/ views/ atmosphere? etc etc . Oh....and you can't say your own country...that's cheating ;D

I love the ride in Norway, but I think Mexico would have to be my favourite country. Great food and I love the indoor outdoor market. The costumes are cute and I always found the CMs there to be really lovely.

It's been sooo long since I was there that I can't really remember... I liked Canada the last time I was there because of Off Kilter (the piper is pretty good and a lot better than some of the awful pipers that kick about here) so I'll go with Canada.

Mexico of course... LOL. Well I have great memories from everycountry, I spent great times in each pavillion, of course the ambience of mexican pavillion is unique, its always night time. Love the ride in norway, the movie at france and the kir royale, love the morocan pavillion construction and the belly dancing, the italian and canadian food, the musical group at germany, the Queen Garden of the UK, the chinese fast food, the japanese pearls and shops, I cant choose only one over all, each one has comments about the fidelity to the cultures, I could say a lot of things mistaken in the mexican one the ride was so old, now it was renovated so I need to see it to have an opinion.

I think the UK pavilion would really benefit from an attraction. A Loch Ness Monster Thrill ride would be aaaamazing.

What countries do you think should be added to the World Showcase? I think an Australia pavillion would be cool

Food is Mexico, but seeing as I've eaten in like next to none of the pavillions, that was an easy win. I think I love Norway because of the ride and the boat, though were not allowed to climb on it :( I think Morocco is really pretty and so is Italy. Canada is easily my least fave because as a Canadian I have never worn Khaki or plaid...lol, but the movie is fun. I remember one time they were in Vancouver during the show and some woman behind me was like 'it's so french'. lol. Must give some love to that poor little African Trading Post too....because it's just so sad.

UK pavillion definitely needs a ride - loch ness sounds cool!

anyone notice how no one likes the USA pavilion - i dont know why its even there the whole of wdw is USA! Australia should replace it definitely!

I was wondering what programme the people who worked in the US pavilion were on? Or are they just locals

The American Adventure pavilion exists as a host pavilion.

Yes it's staffed by locals and maybe people on the US college program as well (since like the ICP they can work anywhere).

The problem with putting an extra attraction into the pavilions deals with space.

For example there's a roumered Brother Bear raft ride (like Kali River Rapids) for Canada. There is no room at all simply because Soarin' Comes right up behind Canada. The UK pavilion for example goes right up almost to a waterway with just enough room for a backstage road.

Ohmygosh, I just barely remember that movie! The only thing I kind of remember from it is a ballerina music box that was really sad for some reason, hm!

(I don't have a favourite country as I havn't been there yet... but I'm tempted to say France just because!)

(Oh, and speaking of never wearing plaid, I really havn't, and I have NEVER worn khaki to my recollection, but lately I am seeing people around me wearing red plaid EVERYWHERE. It is so crazy, it must be a weird trend.)
