FAO Pin Trader Ppl

Ok im wanting to start this pin collecting/ trading thing...

i just wondered if most of u people collect a certain theme....like 1 favourite character or something, or whether u just buy any pins u see and like? Colin told me he only collects Park Pins or Stitch pins. But i have soooo many favourite characters that i couldnt decide which to buy... and i was looking on laughing place and saw soooo many i liked for diff characters etc.

just wondering wot everyone else does, and if it would be pointless to start a random collection.

 

Park Pins. Otherwise I'd really have no money.

 

Hmm.. well I tend to just buy ones which appeal to me. Generally speaking, I like "simple" pins and tiny pins. Also, any lanyard pins are a great find. I'm not really into limited editions just because they are limited edition. : ;D I have to like them too. I also like any monorail pins. ;D I have such a cool one from DLR with doors which open to reveal mickey and minnie inside with "Por favor mantenganse alejado de las puertas." Soooo cool. ;D I also like old or discontinued pins. Anything that's a wee bit different.

I just bought what I liked, more for favotive movies or pretty ones. Like Robin Hood pins(which where hard to fine actually) and Little Mermaid and Nightmare before Christmas!
Beware though they are lots of money if you buy them all! *cough*

But being a cast member and having to wear a lanyard around your neck everyday is very helpful cause you know all about them and how they work when the time comes for you collect them.

 

I'm aaaaaaall about this whole attractions/park pins malarky...

All of mine are that... Though I do have two World Showcase pins (one is the one in my profile pic here-the Irish mickey head... the other is the same only with the german flag... cos I speak german... and Irish )

There's something about the monorail spei that is special; although it was was wierd last year to find the voice had changed :O

I haven't a clue how much the pin is worth now :-\ , I bought it for $10.50 in DLR back in 2003. I wouldn't part with it though. Lol!

Hey Stephanie....JUST GOT BACK from Disney like a WEEK ago and I HOWLED at STITCH and the MAHALO thing!! Laughed SO hard on the MONORAIL that kids were starting to look at ME FUNNY!! HAHAHAH


As for the pins, I collect MOSTLY "THE MOUSE" as he is my FAV!! BUT, I also started to get CREW PINS because of course, you can't just buy em!! So I got one of them from a REALLY WAY COOL SUPERVISOR when we were eating in England, and then I got one for EVEREST because I RODE THE DANG THING!! LOVED IT!!!
The moving pins are favourites as well because they are unique!!

REALLY WANT THE MONORAIL PIN THOUGH!! ;D ;D

 

wow! so jealous! How long were you there for? I love stitch... and no worries... i am exactly the same way on the monorail! Always getting the looks haha... but mostly because I can recite the whole spiel word for word...

 

Thanks sweetie!! I was there for 7 days and had a BLAST of course!! Stitch was CRACKING ME UP the very first time I heard it!! Then, EVERYDAY I would call JUST to get a WAKE-UP call!! Yeah Stitch AND the Mouse....what a way to wake up!! It was WILD and yet I am OLDER and LOVING it JUST AS MUCH if not MORE!! hehehehehe

I was starting the recite the monorail spiel as well!! Being Canadian doesn't leave you with much Spanish to hear on a regualr basis so it took me a little while to get it!

My Everest pin is probably the one I really want to keep!! They apparently are only selling them at the venue the ride is at.....that's IT!!
My canadian ears mean alot to me as well!! I have sparkly mouse ears and even the mouse in a ghost halloween costume!! LOVE EM!! I was asked several times by some kids to trade but there was nothing really I wanted to trade but they were kids so I took one of my mouse ones and traded for another one!! heheheh
Have to purchase a trading kit soon so I can atLEAST trade somethings with someone!!

 

haha I love it that i'm not the only one out there who recites the monorail spiel! Riding the monorail is one of my favourite things to do lol.

As for the pin collecting... I am a tad obsessed haha, but I am very attached to my Canadian Mickey Ears as well. I'm excited to get to Disney World and be able to find some cast exclusives
