I was thinking it'd be a pretty good idea for whoever gets through to the face to face interviews (hope I'm there!!) to maybe meet up for a meal the night before the interviews?? I know this has been done before by previous applicants (I think some starting this summer did it), figured that as well as getting to know people you might be working with it'd probably ease everyones nerves a little going in to the interviews the next day.

    Thoughts?

Sounds like a good idea - just got to wait for the results as to whether we've got through

yeah good plan, if I decide to spend the night in London (if i get f2f of course!) then would be a great idea. Id be coming from Southport so spending the night there would make sense as opposed to trying to prepare on the train!

Good luck to everyone Ive a feeling this week will be the week we find out!

Yeah I'm in Blackpool so I'll definately be staying over if I get through. Have to find a place near the venue I guess. I e-mailed Michele I think it was last Wednesday or something and she said "the end of next week" so I'm guessing anytime between tomorrow and Friday..OMG lol

Some of my group had a meal together the night before, and it definitely helped the nerves!! Its also good if you're not familiar with London! Though if you end up having it in the Disney building in Hammersmith, its easy peasy to find :) A load of us stayed at the same hotel (Dalmacia) in Hammersmith as well which was good cos we walked to the interview together. x x x

That sounds a good idea as I will becoming up from York if i get through to the f2f interview plus i dont really know London that well and would definately ease the nerves.

Good luck to everyone waiting for news from phone interviews!!!!!!!! :)

don't want to count my chicken before they've hatched but if i get the interview then sounds like a plan. If people are only travelling up on the day though could arrange a breakfast before the F2F. muffins and coffee for all.

Yea a great idea if anyone does get accepted, then the breakfast thing sounds like a great idea as well as the dinner!!

Yeah, breakfast as well! Itll be a feast!
I have no idea about london, all i know is last time i went for my visa interview, I was waiting in line and these sticky leaf things kept falling and if it got in your eye it was like someone poured acid on them! So thats my impression of london so far :p

Hey all as Helen said some of the guys met up before the last lot of face to face interviews.
I've got my place on the program starting September this year, but it would be great to meet you all.
Maybe i could come along and see everyone, as you will most probably have start dates near mine. You can all ask me questions as i've been through the process or i can show you where the offices are if you need to know (if they hold them in the same place!)

I would say the meal idea will help all of you who are a) Nervous about the interview, b) Nervous about coming to london and c) those of you wanting to have fun!

Good luck to all of you! ;)

God knows what I'll be like if I get through and I'm waiting for the results of the f2f, I don't think I'd survive it lol.

Well I understand that they send out rejections first right? From my limited HR experience, Wednesday is the most popular day for rejecting or firing people as it's mid week because apparently people are more likely to do something self destructive at the weekend. I was made redundant on a Wednesday.

Who knows though? Good luck :) xx

Well nothing today. . so far anyway, so if rejections are on the first day then thats a good first sign.

But now im scared of Wednesday haha. Naa it should be ok, but I am thinking wednesday might be the day, thatll be 3 weeks after I did the phone interview.
