For those of you that's already been to WDW either as guests or castmembers, have any of you witnessed a magical moment? I don't just mean the everyday kind of magical moments, but really special ones. Like when I worked in the Norwegian restaurant we had one that left everybody crying. There was a family sitting at the table nearest where the princesses comes out. There was the mom and grandparents, who knew what was going to happen (or some of it at least). The father had been in Iraq for a year without seeing his family. So the 4 first princesses comes out and does what they usually do, and then Jasmin is the last one. She talks to the kids, asking them where their father was and they told her all about it. Then Jasmin asks them to close their eyes and make a wish and while they're doing this their father comes out. When their eyes open, they just look weird at him not really understanding that he really was there. But to see their faces when they understood, and to see their reunion was just amazing. But that's not all, he also proposed to his girlfriend. Disney had made some amazing decorations and it was all so beautiful. I still cry just thinking about it
That must have been incredible! You've made me cry now! I love crying about that sort of stuff though! Oh dear, I'm going to be a right mess over summer!
Awww that is so sweet. That must have been amazing to see. Its so sad but in a good way of course. The kids must have been so happy.
Nothing like that has happened while I've been working... yet. I don't know what I'd do if it did... I get choked up over all of the little moments! I absolutely adore all the Guest interaction! The little kids are so cute and say the darnedest things!
Yeah that one was a very touching one. I once saw a matrimony petition at the plaza in Mexico with the mariachis singing a love song. It was cool
Hmmmm I guess allowing kids to be guest skippers was all part of the extra special magical moments...it wasn't often that we did it, and seeing the looks on kids faces was remarkable! It was also great when you let the odd adult drive and when they told you that their childhood dream was to drive one, it made me feel all fuzzy inside!
Two weeks ago we had a woman who had a limited amount of time. She had come to Magic Kingdom for what she thought was going to be her last birthday before she died. Our manager pulled us out and asked us to do something extra magical for this woman. She is obsessed with Pluto so he had got her a pluto cuddley toy and I had a pluto pin on my trading lanyard. Just before wishes started we all went up to her and asked her these weird and wonderful questions so that we could make up a personalised birthday song for her. Instead we sang the Dsney birthday song and we gave her the gifts saying that they were from Pluto and that he is looking forward to seeing her in the parade. Her face when we gave her these gifts and her thanks when the majority of us saw her later at the 11pm spectromagic parade was just magical and something that I will always remember.
