Hey Rich..... Is is open yet? I have read that is was COMING in the spring of 2006 but I just wanted to know if it was truly open to experience yet?? THANKS CHEERS!!
It had CM previews, then AP/DVC previews and now is intermittently 'soft-open' (a.k.a. "it's open but if it closes don't shout at us") until grand opening around April
Hey, I've just come back from a 3 week holiday at WDW and it was open then, although it was broken down a lot of the times (one train was stuck half-way up the really high slope upwards!!). if you get the chance to go on it, DO!! we went on twice and would have gone on a third but it broke down again by the time we got the chance!
Good! I really recommend it! (unless of course you get travel sick ) its like Rockin' Roller Coaster only bigger, faster, longer BETTER! (ok so it's nothing like it really!! lol) and the detail in the line waiting to get it...it's amazing! I think Disney has out-done itself!
I cannot wait to try that out. It looks like so much fun! Really creative and original too. Kinda funny that it kept breaking down though...like, didnt it JUST open and they're having troubles already? Maybe Eisner jinxed it?
i guess they havent got it all running smoothly BECAUSE its new. i think they're still in the trial-and-error stage (with hopefully as little error as possible!)
Everest is still not officially open which is why theyre having troubles with it!! These soft opening times are usedto find out any problems the ride may have and smooth them out before the official opening of the ride inApril. Its a great ride, although I def wouldnt put it as best ride at WDW - Tower of Terror still holds that title for me!!!!
Well let me tell ya that I got on.....FINALLY!! Got to the park and RUSHED over to FAST PASS it!! I hear NOTHING......NO SCREAMING and our time for the FAST PASS is FAST approaching!! Get to the ride and I see Managers everywhere!! OH NO.......thinking this is SO NOT GOOD!! Told the ride was CLOSED!! DAMN!! So, I ask if they will honour the FAST PASS again later IF and ONLY IF the ride re-opens.....OF COURSE!! So, end of story .....................WICKED RIDE!! By FAR the VERY BEST ONE DISNEY has created!! BUT Mission to Mars was AMAZING and with all the hype that my girlfriend freaked me out with about that ride, I still have to say that Everest was the BEST!! Love me some YETI!! Got my official pin and all!! I think that as SOON as I get down to work(FINGERS CROSSED) I am definately going to DRAG someone with me to go up again! Thanks for the advice to go on!! GLAD I DID!!
Glad you liked it I didn't like Mission Space, but then I'm claustrophobic!! lol my sister and friend dragged me on it! Everest is by far the best!
