OK, so I'm far from being a lycra clad gym fanatic, however, I think I need to do some form of exercise whilst on my CRP.
What's the score with exercising at your accommodation (gym etc)? I remember reading something about being able to use the facilities at one of the Disney hotels for a discounted rate (or even free).

    Thanks.

In every apartment complex (Commons, Patterson, Vista, and Chatham) there's 1 gym. They're not HUGE, but they're not bad either. I've only been in the commons and patterson. Commmons is a little small, equipment is kinda old, but not bad. Patterson is brand new.. or was on my contract last year.. it's a littler bigger.. there's tvs.. there's fans and AC. The gym along with the poool are open from either 7/8am-1am.
    :)

haha be careful about running late at night, unless it's a monday after 11pm. It is the US after all, and most of Florida is very aware that there's a lot of internationals living in that area. Just be careful!! :) Stick to near the apartment complexes.

well i meant at the gym! but thanks. i'm used to it where i live. if it's not pervy people i have to watch out for it's bears, and trust me, i'd rather take on some weirdo than a bear

The worst are Weirdo Bears. They sprint at you and then invite you to tea.

Actually, that wouldn't be so bad. Awkward though. What do you chat about with a bear?

I found it sooo hard to work out on my program between working late hours, wanting to go out then waking up early (maybe a wee bit hungover), to go to work again..

i wish i did excersise more though, and for sure will try harder next yeat (if i get in haha)

I'm not even a massive exercise fan at all, just know with the amount of crap Americans eat / is on their menus, I'll pile on the pounds. I'll try to sweat some off through tanning (does that even scientifically work?) and hoping to but some dumbells and situp bar at Walmart

you will sweat it off in work - being on ya feet for 8hours plus helps - even more so if your in a position where you move a lot e.g. stocker, seater, server. I lost weight on my programme

I'm dreading being on my feet for all that time. I'll need an endless supply of plasters! And since I'm out of work at the moment, and it isn't looking like I'll find a job before then :( It's gonna kill me! So excited though ;D

you get used to it pretty quickly - the first couple of weeks are hell on ya feet but they get used to it hehe and even if ya feet are killing u will still find a way of overcoming it to go out with ya mates or to go watch wishes.

Comfy shoes are number 1 on my list. I worked at Cheddar caves for a year, on my feet the whole time, wearing borrowed shoes because I was too cheap to buy any. After about 2 months, two of my toes went numb.

Luckily, a few months after I finished, feeling came back, but I'm not doing that twice...

I was really surpised at how quickly my feet adjusted. It does take a couple weeks, and honestly go to SHOES FOR CREWS.. the earlier the better.
(It's a company that goes to different parks.. they're all disney standard shoes for work there.. and it just gets taken out of your paycheques. Like $10 a week.. it's a really good way. - comes to epcot the first wednesday of every month)

i'm really scared about how being on my feet for more than 10hrs a day is going to affect me. i have terrible knees so i hope they don't give out on me! and i can't wear my brace because it's so bulky.

i wouldn't worry. :) And the le cellier pants are REALLY BAGGY! And covered by a long apron, so i'm sure you'd be fine. And the coullots are quite long too.

with shoes - dont get the $20 walmart ones so not worth it lol you will wear them for about 6 weeks and the tread will be gone and they just stink - seriously foul - go for the more exspensive ones its worth it
