Exchanging email addresses with people on your flight

First up, hi everyone! I'm new on here, and starting the ICP on 5th June!!

I was just wondering if other people on the UK got an email last week asking if they want to share email addresses with people on the same flight as them. I havn't got anything back yet and am paranoid no-one's on the same flight as me lol!

 

I got one for my flight at the weekend, but it had been a few weeks since Alexis' first e-mail. If it's been a while it might be worth e-mailing just to check, though if you booked your flight through STA I'd've though there'd be loads of you on the flight!

 

Whats ur flight on June 5th? Im flying on June 5th and got my email from Yummy at the weekend with everyone's email addresses on my flight!

 

Aw looks like no-one else is on the same flight as me then. I'm on the 10.45 virgin flight from gatwick which I thought some other people would have been on cause it looks like there's plenty on the 12.45 one, but maybe not..

I reacon there will be..But they just won't be on here..

When i went on the college program last year there was atleast 10 people on that flight, maybes even more!

 

How long before do they send you the email with the other people on your flight?. I'd like to know if theres anyone else on the same flight as me, always good to know someone else on the same flight

They sent me the list last year over a month before my flight, but it all just depends really..

So far most of the flights from Gatwick are within minutes of each other, and are between 1000 and 1100. For instance mine is at 1025. I'm sure you can meet some people before your flight at the airport like in duty free, and I reckon we'll see people around anyway even if we arrange not to meet!

 

Yeah, you usually all get the same bus to chatham/vista as well if your flights are near each other..

 

I emailed Alexis and she'd accidentally missed me off the list! There's 5 other people on the same flight as me ;D

 

I got mine just off 2 weeks before Im due to go.

 

yeah, we actually had to wait for about two hours for some other members in the int airport in Orlando. Within those two hours I got acquainted with like dozens of people...

 

So they just send a list of email address, dont send names to go with it.
And I aint really sure what to say in an email.
Do I send to them all?

 

Go for it! All you need to say is who you are, what you're doing now, what you're doing out there, etc... it ended up that we were all on Facebook so after a flood of e-mails we figured that was probably the best way to go about things! But yeah, once one person e-mails it starts a huge wave of them so look out for having a very full inbox!

 

Yeah, and also, for your question about the names..

They send you the names and the emails of everyone..

 

In France they dont want to send the emails

 

they didn't for us? Just got a list of e-mail addresses... But then there are about 20 of us so they might do so for flights with less people on...
