Has anyone seen the trailer for it? I'm quite liking the concept behind the movie. This could quite possibly mark a Disney revival I reckon. Hope it doesn't disappoint! It's out in the UK in December after a November release in the US. If you haven't seen it go to the movie section at www.disney.com or it might be simpler to follow this youtube link haha: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLdKwdGdZaI
yep, i seen it, idina menzel who was the original elphaba in the musical wicked is in it, so i will def be seeing it!
I did not know she was in it! Woo! It looks promising...and could be funny too so I'm all for it! "Thank you Mirror!"
The trailer kind of pokes fun at the singing but there are some full songs in it right? I might be wrong but I think Mulan was the last Disney feature film where characters sang? (Disney Channel films not included obviously) I'm sure I read Alan 'Little Mermaid' Menken was doing it. And apparently this film will be classed as a 'feature animation' with the main character having "official princess status". There are also two other exciting features in the making from Disney animation... 'Rapunzel' and 'The Princess and the Frog'. The latter will be the first hand draw since 'Home and the Range'. I'm just full of the facts today. Hahaha. Ben
I miss disney classics where they sing!! I think Rapunzel might have some songs in it, well I hope it does! Although they do look like they're dancing in one of the clips in a park..... Enchanted looks sooo funny, Disney are really good at making fun of themselves by the looks of it! Why do I get the impression that cast memebers wonder around places totally in the frame of mind that they're in a disney dimension like these characters do?? lol
Haha it's so funny we're quoting already! # In one scene, Prince Edward rides a bus through Times Square. In the background a large poster can be seen advertising the musical play "Wicked," which originally featured Idina Menzel, who plays Nancy in "Enchanted," in the starring role. # In the scene where Prince Edward is standing on top of a moving bus, billboards for Hairspray (the Broadway Production) and Superman Returns (2006) are visible. James Marsden, who plays Prince Edward, stars in Superman Returns, and the movie, Hairspray (2007), based off the Broadway Production from www.imdb.com Haha talk about plugging!
*gasp* i thought that was James Marsden! But his nose looks different.....Well he might have done all those monster big blockbusters..but we all know he's only made it big time now he's worked for Disney!!!!
I have some new facts to add. Rumour has it the movie is to feature three ladies who have voiced/sung for famous Disney characters in the past. Jodi Benson of Little Mermaid fame... Paige O Hara of Beauty & the Beast fame and Judy Kuhn of Pocahontus fame. Looks like Disney is getting all set to start a disney animation revival. The film is also getting really positive feedback from those lucky enough to have attended test screenings. Enchanted is set for a Hollywood premiere on November 17th to be released across the US shortly after. It's not out in the UK until December 14th.
I went to see Ratatouille yesterday (omg I love that film!) and they showed the trailer for Enchanted...I just want to see it now!!!! It looks sooooooooo good.
Ratatouille was great, wasn`t it? i also saw the tralier for enchanted, i think it`s a great movie. i hope many many people will watch it!!!
The little bear sings in brother bear... So theres singing by a character in that one. Abeit for about 9 seconds.
For anyone really keen you can catch advanced screenings in the UK 1st and 2nd December (that's this coming weekend!!). Exclusively at Odeon! This film is already massive in US... Disney have a hit on their hands!
i thought giselle wanst becoming a princess because disney didnt want to pay for amy adam's likeness for the rest time
No she's definitely a princess. I work at Disney Store and the merchandise we've had in so far has got it all over it. There is obviously some kind of deal with Amy Adams though coz the dolls say 'played by Amy Adams' on them. There are plush dolls based on the animated Giselle tho also so she probably missed out there.
I am Super Annoyed. Because I can't go to the charity screening on the 3rd thanks to some silly little uni class.... *bawl*
i Cant wait to see it either...looks like another classic to add to my DVD collection!! roll on Friday xx
it's super!!! I was worried for the first 20mins or so because it takes a while to get going. So going to get the soundtrack to it!
