    Hey hey

I got my pack this week and in it it says some stuff about linen. Now it says we have to bring our own bed sheets but it doesnt say if we have to bring the actual duvet. does anyone know if duvets are supplied and we just bring the covers or do we have to bring the whole duvet itself. or do we not even need duvets cos it'll be boiling hot. i love snuggling in my duvet tho.x

I think you'll be best buying a duvet when you get there - if you need one. Otherwise your case will be bulging!!

Duvets aren't very common in the US, they use sheets instead. When I was there, they supplied us with bedding. But as I guess its not like that anymore, you should bring a couple of sheets, just for the first night, cuz they take you to Walmart the following day, where you can get cheap bedding, including duvets. Remember, as long as the aircon isn't on max, sheets are enough! I think it would be a pain to bring a duvet, as it takes up so much space in your suitcase.

dont bother with taking a duvet, i love my duvets to bits and couldnt live without one but the only way you will land with one in florida is wen the day after you arrive you get taken to walmart and they are so cheap, you get a whole bedding set and they ahve laodsa a pretty colours........yay

they gave us sheets and blankets and stuff back in the day but now they dont give anything, so you would be best advised to take a valance, a blanket/sheet and a pillow with case (i actually took a little pillow thing in my hand luggage to rest on on the plane cos its nice to snuggle up to something (and it was pink!) and i took a pink fleece blanket that mathed that but put that in my checked baggage....

i wouldnt even consider taking a duvet with me if i were going back out there and i knew that i wouldnt get any bedding........its only for one night so why waste space, its more important to pack some memories from home to decorate your apartment with, cos there are gonna be times wen you feel downright lonely......... cos you could be surrounded by a hundred people in your apartment and still feel like the only person in the world

yer can't live without them, there not to think so it doesn't take up to much room, plus i tend to buy loads of clothes at the destination so i never take that many to start with.

i pack everything i wanna take - then unpack half of it and i'm set - with loads of room to spare

If you are really attached to your duvet, you could always just take the cover. Coming from overseas, I wouldn't lug it all the way with you. I brought my whole bed set (double size comforter and sheets) in a vacuum bag because I had a ton of space and knew I wouldn't have to worry about getting stuff home because I'm only from Canada and I could drive it home.

Vacuum bags work wonders. They come highly recommended. I packed all my clothes in them going down and back home.

i dont think they supply anything, well thats what ive been lead to believe. so im preparing to buy everythin, i know the sheet sets you can get in wal mart are something ridiculous like $15 for pillowcases, bottom sheets and top sheets.

and 5 piece towel sets are about the same, i keep checking on www.walmart.com

but yeah i may bring a pillow and my sheet, probs a unfitted bottom sheet as well, as the US beds are bigger than UK beds remember that people, so bringin fitted UK single sheets won't fit the american twin

No but for UK peeps, in our pack we got with our contract etc in it, there are the measurements for fitted and standard sheet in the little booklet. Gives the measurements
