I applied in 2002 to go in 2003. I got the yellow card saying Iwas being considered. Then I got a letter about 3 weeks later saying i was not accepted but they would get back to me in future. I was bumbed and down for a good while and wrote disney off. in fact I was very anti disney because I felt they had just disregarded me and it hurt.

Our interviews are in september and in june of 2003 I got a call from Disney saying that they would like me to interview in september. So I went along and 1 week later I was told that i was going to disney in march of 2004. 2 of my mates were there already and 1 got recalled the same as me.

Perseverance and determination will win out every time and especially when it comes to disney.

So take heart and dont let it get you down. There is always next time . By then you will have had a chance to grow and offer them more.

    keep your head up.

i don't plan to give up! I went to Disney on a holiday 3 years ago, and it was a dream place! I would so love to live there and work for a year there. So i agree its not the end of the world if u get rejected - makes u think of how u can improve ur appliction for next time so that Disney will be impressed!

To deal with the various challenges and such in the whole thing - not just the application but all the way through, you have to have a lot of perseverance and patience.

I remember me and JRD were waitiing 9 months AFTER getting a positioin. (And 9 months before that). Then when I got here, I was close to packing it in a few times in the first half of my program. But I stuck it out, made some wonderful international buddies, went to LA, did the Voluntears program and have some good memories, even if it was difficult (despite my family living here, it didn't change much, I still missed home)

My point is, these are GOOD reasons to keep trying. I had all this in mind when I applied, and I'm glad I spent the best part of 3 years in my life completing that objective.

Good Luck to all new Applicants and those waiting for results!
    Dan.
