    Hey guys

I was just wondering if any one works for the Disney Store in the UK? I've seen a job advertised at my local store and was wondering if anyone could tell me about the hours you work and the different benefits you get?

    Thanks

I've applied to the disney store twice now when i was at uni and both times never heard anything!!! Considering I have rehire status from working at WDW you'd think they would want people who can sell their products.

Anyway I was in my local store near my home and was offered a managers position without even looking at my CV.

You should defo go for it, it looks like a lot of fun and you can do part time hours like the weekends and you get discounts but I can't remember what they are. Oops

    Good luck

    A xx

    Hey

I work for the disney store.

Part time jobs, like i am on are contracted 8 hours a week, we always have to work an hour after time and depending on which store you work at depends on what time you start and finish. Think we are the latest for closing, as we shut at 10pm so work until 11. Sometimes we start at 8am but sometimes we start at 6am depending on whether we have a delivery the night before. Entitled to something like 4 hours overtime a week but i do a lot more than that.

Started as a christmas temp in november 2006 and i have been kept on. I love my job, its fantastic!! Just looking at doing WDW next year!

Hope this is of some help.

    Hey,

I did the ICP last summer in Walt Disney World, and as soon as I came back I knew I wanted to continue to work for the company, so I got a job as a Christmas temp in October, and i'm still there! It's great working there, nice being around all the stuff that reminds you of Florida, and plus have become the unofficial Disney World rep haha.

But yea, it's a great laugh, we get 20% off merchandise and 10% off dvd's, 50% off Disney park hotels and 2 free Disneyland Resort Paris tickets at the end of the year. Plus you get cinema tickets every now and then for Disney releases. I would reccomend working there to anyone, unlike anywhere else and awesome :)

I'd like to work at Disney Store but they don't have one in Huddersfield (where I go to Uni). The nearest one is Leeds.

    How much do they pay?
If it's enough then it might be worth getting the train over to work there.

Under 18's are on £5.19 an hour, over 18's are on somethin like £5.67 ish.

Good benefits though, 20% discount but after 3 years of being there goes up to 35%, 50% off on disney hotels in theme parks, 2 free tickets to paris and 2 for paris or florida depending on your choice. And its a FANTASTIC place to work! I work in the one in the Trafford Centre (Manchester), and i love it! :D

Also we get money back on cinema tickets for big disney releases, (Pirates of the Caribbean 3) which i have just been to see!!

Hope this is of come help! :)
