Just a question, has anyone ever applied for a job at one of the disney resorts in Orlando? If yes, where, when and how did you apply? I am currently in a hotel management school in switzerland and i need to find a place for an internship. I would really like to go back to Disney... and do you know by any chance if they offer management training as well ?? Thanks :-* Alex
I don't think they offer an such program. They used to offer the International Management Program which is exactly what you would be after, but they no longer offer this. If you particularly wanted to get out to the Orlando area, the company that operates Portifino Bay and Hard Rock hotels at Universal (Lowes Hotels) used to (and I think still do) offer an intern program. http://www.loewshotels.com/hotels/orlando/default.asp Hope this helps Rich
My roommate from Hong Kong worked at a resort when I was there....she had applied through the International "Hospitality Program" though, unlike most of us here who applied for the "Cultural Program" Unfortuntately, according to this site that program is currently not being offered. Also, did you want to apply for JUST Orlando? There are opportunities in California too..... for example, check out http://jobsearch.disneycareers.newj...go=0&col=dltcj&cy=&brd=3602&lid=&fn=&q=resort More jobs can be found here - http://corporate.disney.go.com/careers/index.html Good luck!
thank you very much .. i will try ... or maybe just apply at the resorts directly without a program even ??? so much to see...
I worked at Coronado Springs for 18 months and had the pleasure of being on the opening team at Animal Kingdom Lodge! But I married an American and have a green card. I would call casting to see if the International Hospitality Program is still offered. According to this site, it's not, but I can't say one way or the other. Good Luck!
friend of mine wanted to apply as she's studying hotel management, but after 9/11 they stopped the program...sorry! flavour xoxo
I worked at the All Star Resort for 15 months on the International Hospitality Program, and then went back out to do the management program which they have since cancelled -- so did 3 years in total. Speaking with my friends who still work in resorts at Disney, they are still doing the hospitality program - you can work for one year to 18months in one of the resorts... -- you can apply through the international programs office as you would for the cultural program. Its a different visa J-1 rather than the Q visas etc for Epcot. The best years of my life... go for it..
thanks again... i know they cancelled the hospitality program thing but i was hoping that it would be possible just to apply without a program .. but the only thing you can really do IS go through international services, which i didnt really wanna do , but did anyways, still havent got any reply... does anyone have like an address of human resource departments of the hotels cause i really cant find that on the internet. Thanks a lot.. Alex :-*
