wow, I just read about this....

"Officials at Florida Hospital in Orlando say a planned Disney-themed children's hospital will serve as a model for pediatric hospitals everywhere. Walt Disney Co. has supported children's hospitals in the past, but this is the first to bear the company's name."

I think I've found my future job!!!!!

Disney Children's Hospital At Florida Hospital To Open 2010

ORLANDO (CBS4) ― First movies and theme parks, then cruise ships and vacation resorts, now Disney is joining forces with an Orlando hospital to offer the latest in state of the art pediatric services for children.

Disney Children's Hospital at Florida Hospital will include sophisticated, interactive technology for patients, as well as pediatric physicians who specialize in advanced, minimally invasive surgery. Disney Children's Hospital administrator Marla Silliman says the facility will be on the forefront of technology and be a model for pediatric hospitals everywhere.

The Walt Disney Company has supported children's hospitals in the past, but this is the first to bear the company's name.

The new hospital is expected to be open by 2010.

 

I think it's total genius. It's being designed by the Disney Imagineers. No other company understand children like Disney, and Disney plays such a big role in kids lives. It'll be awesome!

 

Cool! I know it's a Children's Hospital but if I get ill when/if I go to Disney that's where I'm going haha

 

it sounds amazing! First pediatrics, later a complete hospital.

 

That will be an amazing hospital. Do you this they will have Disney Medic Costumes? And characters going around the hospital? I would love to be a doctor there.

 

How cool would it be to be visited by a character when you were sick. I remember when I was in hospital (for a very VERY minor thing) when I was little, and it was just so depressing... being a little bit groggy myself and being surrounded by sick kids... To be visited by a Disney character would have cheered the whole place up and probably helped the really sick kids get better!

 

Yeah and for little kids (even older ones too) being in the hospital especially overnight is scary and lonely so yeah having Disney characters visit you would be really comforting. Haha they should have Disney music playing and all the Disney movies available for patients to watch ;D The nurses should wear lanyards and pin trade lol

Ok, so he might have got 8 gold medals at Beijing 2008. But lets face it, he's really only made it now that he's been honoured by the mouse!!!

Wow, i'd like that honour, i was at my exschools prizegiving tonight retrieving my awards, but id so love to go to a disney prizegiving, i think it would be the best and magical prizegiving ever.

 

Yeh I missed him being there by like a day or something. It would have been nice to see Disney's prize giving.

i bet the park was mega busy that day. Shame you didnt get to see him though!

 

The only time i have seen Disney mobbed is at Main Street USA when everyone is watching the parade and wishes!

 

EAster time...when i was little my sister and i went to get our picture taken in front of mickey and minnie's house and we lost sight of our parents, it was that busy people kept busling past us and i remember feeling quite scared as i couldnt see them or a cast member.
