    Hey all!
I've just come across this site - its v.helpful!
I sent off my CV two days ago online and by post ( - thought it would be quite formal to send off by post?! thanx to my friend!)
I was just wondering who else has just applied and how old u all are! Because I'm 18 and (although quite miffed about the whole 21 drinking rule!) I am soo excited about meeting loadsa new ppl, and properly living in a different country!
I really want 2 travel after my contract is over, like to LA or NYC, anyone else thinking of doing the same?
I'll be so glad when I'm out of England and away from my college and dead end job!
    woo! ;D

be forwarned that the alcohol in the US is crap compared to the alcohol in the UK.......

dont expect Cider, any foreign beer apart from Fosters (canned).. (apart from the bottled imports, which you can usually find - bud, heineken, corona)

there is no archers, (there is schnapps bt it's not the same)

basically those are the two drinks i always drank in the UK. im american and i can't stand drinking at home now cause there isn't anything worthwhile.

Just fyi... if you like the traditional stuff in terms of liquor or can drink any beer and not care, then it wont bother you. *shrugs*

congrats on the interview though :)

I thought Archers was Peach Schnapps, with Archers just being the brand name. Like Smirnoff is to vodka

Hmmm... now bear in mind I don't drink.... but I'm positive folks drank plenty of woodpecker cider in the Commons. And folks lived on 'the beast'! ;D Check any Commons apt. and I'll bet you'll find at least a shelf full of the stuff. ;D
